 State Department Federal Credit Union is seeking a
 
 Real Estate Mortgage Closer/Disburser
 
 to assist members through the final stages of their home-financing journey by coordinating all aspects of the mortgage settlement and ensuring accurate, timely funding.
 
 
 
 Essential Duties And Responsibilities
 
 
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 Reviews mortgage for completeness
 </li>
 <li>
 Handles member and staff inquiries about status of pending mortgage loans and about Mortgage loan programs, policies, and procedures of the Credit Union
 </li>
 <li>
 Prepares all necessary loan documents prior to settlement
 </li>
 <li>
 Schedules settlements on Mortgage loans
 </li>
 <li>
 Handles Mortgage wires and fundings
 </li>
 <li>
 Reviews files for completeness on disbursed mortgage loans in LOS
 </li>
 <li>
 Transfers the mortgage from the processing system to the servicing system for booking
 </li>
 <li>
 Handles all incoming communication relating to Mortgage Loan settlements
 </li>
 <li>
 Completes weekly production schedule
 </li>
 <li>
 Attends departmental meetings to remain current and informed on credit union Mortgage programs, Compliance and overall Credit Union activities
 
 
 </li>
 </ul>
 
 Qualifications
 
 
 
 
 Required Skills and Competencies:
 
 
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 Two years experience processing and or closing first mortgage loans required, knowledge of real estate lending
 </li>
 <li>
 Associate degree required with course work in related field desired
 </li>
 <li>
 Knowledge of mortgage lending laws and regulations
 </li>
 <li>
 Must have experience preparing closing documents for first mortgage loans under the TRID regulations
 </li>
 <li>
 Excellent oral and written communication skills
 </li>
 <li>
 Proficient clerical skills and typing speed of 40 wpm desired
 </li>
 <li>
 Strong analytical and organizational skills
 </li>
 <li>
 Willingness to perform a variety of duties each day
 
 
 </li>
 </ul>
 
 This position requires Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System (NMLS) registration within 30 days of employment.
