<div>The Advanced Clinical Social Worker in this position will be a member of the agency&rsquo;s Outpatient team, which provides client-centered behavioral health services in both community and office-based settings, based on client needs.</div>
<p></p><p><b>Job duties include, but are not limited to:</b></p>
<p></p><ul><li>Providing individual therapy, psychosocial and/or group psychotherapy and family counseling.
</li><li>Performs psychosocial assessments upon intake of clients who are new to the agency.
</li><li>Takes leadership to plan, develop, implement and evaluate integrated recovery plans for clients. Identifies appropriate interventions and goals to address deficits.</li>
<li>Performs risk assessment and develops risk plans to decrease risk.
</li><li>Provides engagement and social skills training.
</li><li>Performs discharge planning.
</li><li>Independently represents the program at State and local hospitals, probate courts, and community settings.</li>
<li>Assists other team members in the development of recovery plans, may provide clinical consultation to team cases.</li>
<li>May provide supervision to other team members and students.
</li><li>Provides leadership to the team in supervisor&rsquo;s absence.</li>
<li>Ability to write clinical notes and administrative reports.
</li><li>Ability to co-lead work groups and agency committees.
</li><li>Makes community visits to assess individuals in psychiatric emergency situations.

<div><p>In a state agency behavioral health program as part of a multi-disciplinary team at one or more locations this class is accountable for skilled clinical social work treatment and leadership services involving complex case assignments.</p>

<div><ul><li>The team serves the highest level of acute clients treated within the outpatient department at CMHC. ACT is a fidelity-based model that requires the Clinical Social Worker (CSW) to be part of the multidisciplinary team.</li>
<li>The CSW carries a caseload of clients assigned to them, assess them clinically, completes all required clinical paperwork, completes training needed to complete Emergency Certificates in the community ensuring that clients can be evaluated in the Emergency Department when needed for danger to self or others and grave disability.</li>

<li>Ensuring annual training and maintaining qualification standards for state employees and non-state members of Connecticut's in state and interstate wildland fire crew;</li>

<li>Fulfilling northeast regional and national responsibilities assigned through the Northeastern Interagency Coordination Center, USDA Forest Service, and FEMA.</li>
<li>Coordinating DEEP response to invasive forest pests through MOU with Connecticut Agriculture Experiment Station including, early pest detection, delimiting surveys, other public outreach and education.</li>

<li>A Master's degree in biology, fisheries management, forestry or wildlife management or a related field may be substituted for one (1) additional year of the General Experience.</li>

<div><ul><li>Experience in application of forest protection state agency policies and procedures and forest protection state and federal laws, statutes, and regulations.</li>

<li>Experience supervising natural resource or wildfire related professional and technical staff.</li>
<li>Experience in application of principles and practices of forest fire control, forest resource protection from fire, insects and disease, prescribed fire for vegetation and wildlife habitat improvement.</li>
<li>Experience with National Fire Danger Rating System, fuels, fire behavior, and how the National Fire Danger Rating System is affected by changes in fire weather.</li>
<li>Experience with fire organizations under an organized incident command system, including initial attack and extended attack as defined by the National Interagency Fire Center (NIFC).</li>
<li>Experience with fire cause investigation, fire law enforcement, evidence preservation, interviewing techniques, and court presentation.</li>
<li>Experience using oral and written communication to train, direct and evaluate employees in fire suppression and firefighting techniques.</li>
