What you will do:

This position is in the Office of Quality and Innovation (OQI) at the Florida Department of Children and Families. OQI serves as the catalyst for ensuring high levels of performance across the state to support a strong workforce and positive outcomes for Florida families. The office seeks collaborative, action-focused, and transparent professionals dedicated to putting quality at the center of serving families. This position provides technical customer support to the Department&rsquo;s stakeholders (internal and external) by responding to help desk tickets related to the Department&rsquo;s learning management system (LMS). The LMS provides thousands of employees and external partners access to training opportunities. The goal of this position is to improve the learner experience through routine system maintenance processes and prompt response to reported or identified issues.

Duties and responsibilities of this position include but are not limited to:
<ul>
<li>Provides end-user support for internal and external users in the Department&rsquo;s LMS.</li>
<li>Tests and pilots materials for quality assurance and functionality in the system before publishing.</li>
<li>Supports the creation of events and sessions within the LMS for learners to find and register for training and assists instructors with submission of rosters as needed.</li>
<li>Maintains a system of catalog management to manage all aspects of the training catalog including but not limited to creating unique training course names, verifying providers, and assigning subjects. Ensures the catalog is on an audit schedule to ensure fidelity of system.</li>
<li>Reviews externally procured trainings/subscriptions requested for publishing in the LMS.</li>
<li>Attends and participates in various technical exchange groups and forums related to Learning Management Systems and eLearning supports.</li>
<li>Creates and generates reports and dashboards as requested/required.</li>
<li>Other duties as assigned.</li>

The Florida Office of Financial Regulation (OFR) provides regulatory oversight for Florida&rsquo;s financial services industry. ABOUT THE POSITION:
The Senior Financial Investigator position is a senior level investigator within the BFI that conducts criminal, administrative, and civil investigations under the regulatory jurisdiction of the OFR. BFI cases are prosecuted in state and federal courts. Applicants must have adequate experience conducting fraud and/or financial investigations and/or examinations and presenting complex case findings to criminal and administrative prosecutors. Candidates must have professional experience other than or aside from Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) or Anti Money Laundering (AML) experience within a financial institution in order to be considered for this position. 

This position reports to the West Palm Beach Investigations Manager. 
This position is being advertised in multiple counties. This position may also be eligible for field work opportunities (combination of in-office work and field work). Field work is subject to management approval and may be rescinded at any time. The selected candidate&rsquo;s in-office work location will be the West Palm Beach Regional Office. Office hours are M-F / 8 am to 5 pm, with a 1-hour unpaid lunch. However, a flexible work schedule may be available. Position Overview and Responsibilities:
This position within the Office of Resilience and Coastal Protection (ORCP) supports the Florida Keys Aquatic Preserves Manager by coordinating the implementation of the EPA Grant &ldquo;Keep Lignumvitae Lovely: A Holistic Marine Debris Program in Lignumvitae Key Aquatic Preserve&rdquo; and the ongoing efforts to minimize the negative impacts to the Florida Keys National Marine Sanctuary from marine debris. These projects have the short-term goals of removing marine debris from all submerged and coastal areas of the Aquatic Preserves and tracking seagrass recovery post-removal. The long-term goal is to use data collected to create a standardized operating procedure for facilitating seagrass recovery post-disturbance. Among other tasks, the responsibilities of this position include:
<ul><li>Participation in the planning, coordination, and implementation of all aspects of &ldquo;Keep Lignumvitae Lovely&rdquo; and other grants to protect or enhance the resources of Lignumvitae Key Aquatic Preserve.</li>
<li>Conducting outreach activities, which may include staffing outreach booths at events, facilitating workshops with the public and business owners, interacting with the public at access points, giving talks at classes, preparing reports, and with approval from the DEP press office producing and distributing outreach materials.</li>
<li>Participating in the planning, coordination, and implementation of marine debris removal via SCUBA, snorkel, and land-based efforts, including leading volunteer groups in marine debris clean-ups and (with appropriate approvals) removal of derelict stone crab and spiny lobster traps via SCUBA.</li>

Description of Position:

The Wildlife Impact Management Section is seeking an energetic and motivated candidate to serve as a Wildlife Assistance Biologist. The incumbent serves as the primary point of contact for human-wildlife conflict issues and provides information or methods to prevent or mitigate conflicts with wildlife. Assistance provided to the public or agency staff may be provided over the phone, in person, or in writing. Some fieldwork may occur but is not a regular component of this position. The successful candidate will occasionally represent the Wildlife Assistance Program at outreach events by conducting presentations to citizen groups. The candidate may also conduct site visits and provide technical assistance, conflict mitigation strategies and loan equipment, as necessary. The Wildlife Assistance Biologist works across multiple Divisions and Sections within FWC to:

The duties of this position require a constituted law enforcement officer subject to be on call 24 hours a day, seven days a week. The incumbent is required to bear firearms. The incumbent is required to maintain certification as a law enforcement officer pursuant to Chapter 943, Florida Statutes.

ABOUT THE ORGANIZATION AND THE OPPORTUNITY 


The Statewide Guardian ad Litem Office is Florida&rsquo;s award-winning, state-funded child advocacy organization that provides independent legal representation to abused, abandoned and neglected children in Florida&rsquo;s dependency court proceedings. The Office upholds the highest standards of integrity, excellence and child centered representation. The Guardian ad Litem Paralegal Specialist performs a variety of secretarial, administrative support, and clerical duties for Attorneys in a local GAL Circuit office. The Paralegal Specialist works independently under the general supervision of the Managing Attorney or Circuit Director and must exercise discretion with sensitive and confidential information. As an employee with the State of Florida, your benefits are a significant part of your compensation with 19 percent of your total compensation coming from the benefits that the State offers. ABOUT THE WORK 


 The Paralegal may:
<ul>
<li>Cite check, proofread, and finalize legal briefs, subject to supervision.</li>
<li>Maintain case files, court calendars, and litigation timetables.</li>
<li>Prepare case summaries, pleadings, orders, and summons under the supervision of an attorney.</li>
<li>Draft and file pleadings and motions for attorneys.</li>
<li>Establish working relationships with State Courts Systems personnel, private attorneys and law firms, outside organizations, and the public.</li>
<li>Gather and analyze research data.</li></ul> 


 EDUCATION AND TRAINING REQUIREMENTS 

<ul>
<li>Completion of a training program to become a legal assistant, a paralegal, a legal paraprofessional or a lawyer's or attorney's assistant; or</li>
<li>A degree or certificate in legal technology, legal administration, legal studies or allied legal services; or</li>
<li>Graduation from a school of law; or</li></ul>
