</p><p><b>PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:</b></p><ul><li>
Perform patient assessments; obtain patient medical and social histories, diagnostic testing, and take vital signs.</li><li>
Evaluate signs and symptoms.</li><li>
Interpret/evaluate diagnostic tests and laboratory results.</li><li>
Monitor/review patient care and treatment plans.</li><li>
Provide education and counseling of patient and family in preventative care, medical conditions, and use of prescribed treatments/drugs.</li><li>
Refer patients to physicians or other healthcare professionals/facilities as needed and monitors outcome of the referral.</li><li>
Provide on-call coverage for evenings and weekends as needed.</li><li>
Maintain patient confidentiality.</li><li>
Follow all organizational and governmental healthcare policies and procedures.</li></ul><p>
</p><p><b>REQUIREMENTS:</b></p><ul><li>
Nurse Practitioner &ndash; bachelor&rsquo;s degree in nursing and successful completion of a nurse practitioner program at the master level</li><li>
Physician Assistant &ndash; Graduate of accredited PA program</li></ul><p>
</p><p><b>EXPERIENCE:</b></p><p>
Three or more years of professional experience as a nurse practitioner or physician assistant, ideally in the specific area.</p><p>
</p><p><b>CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:</b></p><ul><li>
Registered Nurse Licensure</li><li>
ANCC Certified as a nurse practitioner in a specialty area or PA.

NURSE PRACTITIONER OR PHYSICIAN ASSISTANT

Escort patients to and from exam rooms, offices, and treatment rooms.</li><li>
Maintain patient flow and accurately record patient data into his or her chart.</li><li>
Administer subcutaneous and intramuscular injections.</li><li>
Obtain blood specimens from peripheral sites.</li><li>
Submit patient prescriptions.</li><li>
Requests and evaluates lab tests.</li><li>
Schedule tests, procedures, hospital admissions, and appointments.</li><li>
Maintain strict confidentiality.</li><li>
Follow all organizational policies and procedures.</li></ul><p>
</p><p><b>REQUIREMENTS:</b></p><p>
Must be a graduate from a recognized certified and/or registered medical assistant program or an approved school of nursing.</p><p>

Certificate as a certified or registered medical assistant or licensed in the state of employment.</li></ul><p>
