The Division of Children, Youth and Family Services has an exciting employment opportunity for a full-time Technical Records Specialist 1 (TRS) with the 2-1-1 Idaho Careline at our Westgate office in Boise . The 2-1-1 Idaho Careline, a free statewide community Information and Referral service, is available to link Idahoans with health or human service providers and programs. This position will perform specialized support work involving an extensive in-depth knowledge of the program and system. The TRS 1 position requires a distinctive skill set: the candidate must have the ability to think critically through challenging social service needs, systemic issues, and the technology needs of a call center.
We are a dedicated team looking for someone with the right skills who wants to join us in making a difference. Applicants who have previous telephone customer support, experience handling complaints, and providing solutions are encouraged to apply. The ability to fluently read, write, and speak both Spanish and English is preferred. The candidate must also possess the skills and knowledge to manage difficult problem-solving calls that provide solutions to customers. The candidate must interpret and explain requirements, processes, and procedures to others, and may regularly track, execute, and review various reports and statements.

EXAMPLE OF DUTIES:
<ul><li>Conduct telephone interviews to determine customers' requests and needs

Responsibilities:
1. Liquor sales
<ul><li>Greets customers and answers questions regarding product content, use and price
</li><li>Observes customers, checks identification for proof-of-age and denies service to underage or intoxicated customers
</li><li>Receives payments by cash, check or credit card and makes change
</li><li>Receives and verifies licensed-bar orders
</li><li>Operates computerized cash register system to process sales data
</li><li>Closes out cash register and balances receipts to sales journal
</li></ul>2. Stocking
<ul><li>Receives and verifies shipments Inspects and documents freight damages
</li><li>Determines stocking needs, codes merchandise and arranges shelf and floor displays
</li></ul>3. Store operations
<ul><li>Acts for manager during absences
</li><li>Opens and closes store and maintains security
</li><li>Balances daily receipts with daily sales reports and makes bank deposits
</li><li>Reconciles discrepancies
</li><li>Enters merchandise data into computer system to update files and generate reports
</li><li>May supervise work and train other clerks
</li><li>Recommends product merchandising, inventory levels and new product listings
</li><li>Prepares sales summary reports
</li><li>Performs routine cleaning and maintenance of store areas
</li></ul>Minimum Qualifications:
<ul><li>Must be 19 years of age to sell liquor per Idaho Code
</li><li>Experience adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing whole numbers and decimals
</li><li>Reading instructions written in English.
</li></ul>*A Geographical Differential may be applicable to Hailey and Ketchum locations resulting in a salary of of $20.00 per hour.
This is a part-time non-benefitted position for applicants looking to work under 20 hours per week. Applicants who apply to this posting may be eligible to convert to a benefitted full or part-time position at this location upon successful completion of 1,040 credited state service hours if a position is available.
