State Hospital South (SHS) - Syringa Chalet Nursing Facility is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) Senior who is caring and has a passion for helping others. SHS is in beautiful Southeast Idaho, an area best known for Oregon Trail and Native American history, amazing fly fishing, towering mountain peaks with abundant wildlife and awe-inspiring geological sites. State Hospital South in Blackfoot provides psychiatric inpatient treatment and skilled nursing care for Idaho&rsquo;s adult citizens with the most serious and persistent mental illnesses. The hospital works in partnership with families and communities to enable clients to return to community living. State Hospital South includes 110 psychiatric adult beds and 42 skilled nursing beds. It also maintains a statewide program to restore the competency of criminal justice patients. The 42 skilled nursing beds in the Syringa Chalet Nursing Facility offer services to consumers with a history of behavioral or psychiatric illness.
This position is not eligible for telework.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Licensed as a Professional or Registered Nurse in Idaho as defined by Idaho Code 54-1408 or state licensure as a Registered Nurse pursuant to the Nurse Licensure Compact, Idaho Code 54-1418.For licensure information, please contact the Idaho Board of Nursing at http://ibn.idaho.gov or call (208) 577-2476.</li><li>
Experience performing nursing assessments and developing and implementing nursing care plans. Typically gained by at least six months work experience.</li></ul>
Below is preferred experience. It is not required for the position but applicants with this experience may receive consideration over other applicants.<ul><li>
Considerable knowledge of nursing administration/management practices, including organizational structures and staffing; current nursing theory and trends in service delivery; and legal standards of nursing practice for all staff levels. Typically gained through prior work experience in the above.
</li><li>Excellent problem-solving and communication skills and has the ability to present a calm respectful approach amid stressful situations and multiple demands. Typically gained through prior work experience.</li><li>
Experience in researching, analyzing, and recommending changes in nursing services; developing policies and procedures; assessing compliance with nursing laws and regulations and initiating appropriate changes; supervising a professional staff; and training presentations. Typically gained through prior work experience in the above.</li></ul>

Primary Duties: The successful applicant will be assigned to the Attorney General&rsquo;s Special Prosecutions Unit to serve as a prosecutor for the Idaho Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force. This position will primarily prosecute ICAC cases but may also handle other felonies, including public corruption cases and referral cases from county prosecuting attorneys. Prosecutors in this unit may also be assigned to assist county prosecuting attorneys in major cases. Primary duties include handling all aspects of criminal prosecution, from search warrant review and screening through trial and sentencing; working closely with investigators throughout the state; and appearing in courtrooms all over Idaho.
The Office of the Attorney General prioritizes the mental health and wellbeing of all ICAC personnel. Each ICAC prosecutor is required to meet with a mental health professional annually.
Minimum Qualifications: Must hold an active Idaho Bar license and have jury trial experience. A valid driver&rsquo;s license and ability to travel statewide are required. Candidates should be comfortable managing cases with media attention and demonstrate a strong enthusiasm for public service.
Preferred Qualifications: At least two years of prosecution experience, including experience prosecuting ICAC cases. Familiarity with Fourth Amendment jurisprudence on the search and seizure of electronic devices and data stored in the cloud.
