 LSU School of Dentistry Comprehensive &amp; Biomantle Dentistry Department is
 
 currently seeking motivated applicants for the position of Dental Assistant 1 or 2 at our New Orleans location.

 Job Duties And Other Information
 
 
 
 
 Duties and responsibilities included, but not limited to:
 
 
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 Assist dentists and dental students with chair side treatment of patients
 </li>
 <li>
 Maintain and stock cabinet
 </li>
 <li>
 Instruct and evaluate students in proper four-handed dentistry techniques
 </li>
 <li>
 Chart patients according to LSU SD systems (Axium Computer knowledge)
 </li>
 <li>
 Give fluoride treatments as directed by dentist or student
 </li>
 <li>
 Give follow-up home instructions as directed by dentist or student
 </li>
 <li>
 Check inventory and order supplies when needed.
 </li>
 <li>
 Knowledgeable of computers.

 Compensation:
 
 
 This is a Civil Service Position. There is a Special Entrance Rate (SER) of $15.05 per hour for the Dental Assistant 2 title and $14.06 for the Dental Assistant 1 title with an additional $2.25 per hour worked available for candidates that hold a current DANB (Dental Assisting National Board) certification and or additional $1.50 for EDDA (Expanded Dental Duty Dental Assistant).
