This position has sole responsibility for developing, administering, and implementing the department-wide the federal State Planning and Research (SPR) Program. Michigan&rsquo;s annual program is approximately $30 million and is used to fund department-wide transportation planning processes, which are required for the Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) and other transportation agencies receiving federal funding to be eligible for federal aid.
