<div><p>Transportation Manager</p>
<p>
The Transportation/Dispatch Coordinator works with the General Manager, Warehouse Manager, Sales and Delivery Drivers to ensure safe, on-time delivery of steel products to our customers and branches. He/She will be responsible for:</p>
<ul><li><div>
Scheduling of loads of our fleet of Class A tractor trailer trucks and our Class B straight trucks.</div></li><li><div>
Ensuring driver compliance with all DOT regulations, including, but not limited to: vehicle PMs, driver hours/breaks, DVIR completion and follow-up, load safety and weight.</div></li><li><div>
Communication with drivers. SPOC.</div></li><li><div>
Oversee incoming and outgoing shipping activities to ensure accuracy, completeness, and condition of shipments</div></li><li><div>
Combine sales orders to maximize truck&rsquo;s capacity to create full loads</div></li><li><div>
Dispatch trucks (choose carriers based on price, availability, and dependability</div></li><li><div>
Schedule appointments for customer pick ups</div></li><li><div>
Records shipping schedule appointment on excels spread sheet</div></li><li><div>
Verity&rsquo;s CPU shipments to make sure they shipped at appropriate schedule pick up date and time</div></li><li><div>
Print and verifies report &ldquo;Orders by Promised Date&rdquo; for new orders to schedule for shipping</div></li><li><div>
Print shipping schedules and distributes to the plant</div></li><li><div>
Resolves all Freight invoices discrepancies</div></li><li><div>
Review Logistic Freight cost</div></li><li><div>
Any/all duties as assigned.</div></li></ul></div>
