Job Summary Join our dedicated healthcare team as a Respiratory Therapist specializing in Home Health care for patients with COPD and other respiratory conditions. In this vital role, you will deliver expert respiratory therapy services directly in patients&rsquo; homes, ensuring optimal breathing support and improving quality of life. Your expertise in airway management, ventilator use, and patient assessment will help manage complex respiratory needs in a variety of settings, including outpatient and inpatient environments. This position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact on patient health through compassionate, skilled care delivered in the comfort of their homes.Duties<ul><li>Conduct comprehensive patient assessments to evaluate respiratory function and develop individualized care plans. </li><li>Administer respiratory therapy treatments, including oxygen therapy, nebulization, and ventilator management, ensuring safety and efficacy. </li><li>Manage airway devices and ventilators, adjusting settings as needed to optimize patient comfort and breathing. </li><li>Educate patients and their families on respiratory care techniques, medication administration, and device usage to promote independence. </li><li>Monitor vital signs and physiological responses during treatments, documenting findings accurately in medical records. </li><li>Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate care plans for complex cases such as COPD exacerbations or post-surgical recovery. </li><li>Maintain up-to-date knowledge of physiology, anatomy, pulmonology, and critical care practices to provide evidence-based interventions.</li></ul>Experience<ul><li>Proven experience in hospital medicine or critical care environments such as ICU or emergency medicine. </li><li>Hands-on experience with airway management, ventilator systems, and acute care procedures. </li><li>Familiarity with hospital settings including Level I Trauma Centers or Level II trauma centers is highly desirable. </li><li>Experience working with pediatric (pediatrics) and geriatric populations across inpatient and outpatient settings. </li><li>Strong understanding of medical terminology, physiology, anatomy, and pulmonology principles essential for accurate patient assessment. </li><li>Prior clinic or outpatient home health experience preferred; familiarity with Level I Trauma Center protocols is a plus. </li><li>Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) required; additional certifications related to respiratory therapy or critical care are advantageous.
