<b>Job Summary</b>
</div><div>This position contributes to Sun Tan City&rsquo;s success by leading a team to create and maintain the Sun Tan City Experience for our clients. The Salon Director is required to regularly exercise discretion in managing the overall operation of the salon. The majority of your time is spent supervising and directing the workforce, making staffing decisions (i.e., hiring, training, evaluating, disciplining, discharging, staffing and scheduling), ensuring client satisfaction and quality of client experience, monitoring and motivating staff to achieve performance goals, handling minor maintenance issues, ensuring the cleanliness of your salon, and managing safety and security within the salon. The Salon Director is responsible for modeling and acting in accordance with Sun Tan City principles in order to deliver an exceptional client experience.<br>
</div><div><b>Tasks &amp; Responsibilities:</b></div>
<ul><li>Developing and coaching employees to provide amazing client experiences.</li>
<li>Following up swiftly on client concerns and issues.</li>
<li>Consistently sets a positive example and demonstrates a calm demeanor during periods of high volume.</li>
<li>Displays a client comes first attitude by holding team members accountable for quality client service.</li>
<li>Drives company metrics by developing action plans. Directly motivates and instructs the salon team by implementing company programs.</li>
<li>Manages with integrity and honesty and promotes the culture, values, and mission of Sun Tan City.</li>
<li>Plans, Identifies, communicates, and delegates responsibilities to team members to ensure smooth flow of operations.</li>
<li>Directly responsible for the cleanliness, maintenance, sanitation, and organization of the salon.</li>
<li>Manages salon staffing levels to ensure employee development and maintain salon operational requirements.</li>
<li>Adherence to applicable wage and hour laws for non-exempt team members and minors.</li>
<li>Uses all operational tools to plan for and achieve operational excellence in the salon. Tools include labor guidelines, reports, cash management and inventory management.</li>
<li>Utilizes financial reports to identify and address trends and issues in salon performance.</li>
<li>Regularly conducts performance assessments, providing feedback and setting challenging goals to improve sales performance.</li>
<li>Manage ongoing sales.</li>
<li>The Salon Director is required to work a 5-day workweek of 45 hours per week.</li>
<li>The Salon Director is required to work a varying number of mid and/or closing shifts each week as determined by their supervisors based on business trends and staffing needs.</li>
</ul><div><b>Experience:</b></div>
<ul><li>College education preferred, but not required.</li>
<li>Management and/or Sales experience required.</li>
<li>Basic Computer skills (ability to use Word, Excel, and Outlook)</li>
<li>Ability to manage effectively in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple situations simultaneously.</li>
<li>Strong knowledge of client service techniques and operational practices.</li>
<li>Strong problem-solving and organizational/planning skills.</li>
<li>Strong leaderships skills, with the ability to coach and mentor while having knowledge of supervisory practices and procedures.</li>
<li>Team building skills</li>
<li>Ability to prioritize and delegate.</li>
</ul><div><b>Physical Requirements:</b></div>
<ul><li>Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time.</li>
<li>Ability to bend at the waist to clean tanning equipment.</li>
<li>Ability to lift or assist in lifting items and heavy boxes.</li>
<li>Ability to bend down to pick up trash, towels, etc. from the floors.</li>
<li>Ability to perform salon cleaning functions including dusting, sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, etc.</li>
