LNP Media Group, the source of daily news and information for every resident of Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, is seeking freelance photographers to visually document a variety of stories for its daily print and online publications. This could include events, sports, portrait-type photos and more. Previous photojournalism experience is preferred. You will be working on tight deadlines that could include turning assignments around in a few hours. The correspondent will be an independent contractor who attends photo assignments as assigned and meets professional journalism standards.Successful Candidates:<ul><li>Possess excellent photography, writing and interpersonal communication skills.</li><li>Ability to report news fairly and accurately on deadline.</li><li>Capability to adapt to a fast-paced environment with excellent time-management skills.</li><li>Exercise honesty, integrity and respect with all clients.</li><li>Previous photojournalism experience at a daily or weekly newspaper preferred; photographers with professional experience will receive priority, but those with strong portfolios will be considered.</li><li>Opportunities are most often available in Lancaster County, but occasionally extend to Lebanon, Hershey and York counties as well.</li><li>Possess an eye for detail and awareness of cultural sensitivities to make photo selections that are both accurate and tasteful and reflect the diversity in our region.</li><li>Knowledge of AP style a plus.</li><li>Experience recording and editing video a plus.</li></ul>Requirements<ul><li>Must have own professional photography equipment, including a variety of lenses, and ability to shoot in low-light, fast-paced assignments.</li><li>Must have own transportation.</li><li>Laptop with hotspot or equivalent to process photos remotely while on assignment.</li><li>Proficiency in photography equipment and editing software (e.g., Photo Mechanic, Adobe Photoshop, Lightroom).</li></ul>Please submit a minimum of 10 photo samples, or a link to your photo samples/portfolio, with your resume.EOE M/F/D/VFor any additional questions, please reach out to:Abby RhoadLNP | LancasterOnline Visual Editorarhoad@lnpnews.comPay: Up to $70.00 per dayBenefits:<ul><li>Flexible schedule</li></ul>Work Location: In person
