Position OverviewThe Purchasing &amp; Inventory Control Coordinator is responsible for all purchasing activities and for managing the inventory, distribution, and control of materials across all company locations. This role identifies purchasing needs, selects and manages suppliers, verifies pricing and deliveries, and maintains accurate inventory records. The position reports to the Operations Manager.Key ResponsibilitiesThe primary duties of the Purchasing &amp; Inventory Control Coordinator include, but are not limited to:<ul><li>Collaborate with department managers to determine purchasing needs for production and office supplies</li><li>Identify and evaluate suppliers; determine availability, perform comparative pricing, negotiate pricing, confirm product quality, and establish delivery timelines</li><li>Execute all purchasing functions, including issuing purchase orders, verifying pricing, creating and reviewing invoices, authorizing payments, and entering transactions into the accounting system</li><li>Maintain and update the online product and inventory database, including daily inventory updates</li><li>Identify and resolve issues related to product quality, pricing discrepancies, delivery delays, usage variances, or loss</li><li>Perform inventory cycle counts, spot checks, and month-end reconciliations; research variances and authorize appropriate inventory adjustments</li><li>Maintain and manage the company&rsquo;s KANBAN system</li><li>Monitor packaging metrics and ensure data is kept current</li><li>Stay informed of new products, cost-saving opportunities, obsolete items, and industry trends; communicate recommendations to management</li><li>Conduct inventory and records audits and prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual reports for management review</li></ul>Qualifications &amp; Skills<ul><li>Proven experience in purchasing and inventory control</li><li>Proficiency in database management, inventory analysis, and reporting on inventory trends, issues, and solutions</li><li>Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to multitask and work independently</li><li>High level of attention to detail and accuracy</li><li>Demonstrated ability to analyze data, identify problems, implement solutions, and present clear, concise reports to management</li><li>Excellent written and verbal communication skills</li></ul>Education &amp; Experience<ul><li>High school diploma or equivalent required; some college coursework preferred</li><li>Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel</li><li>Knowledge of KANBAN systems preferred</li><li>Experience in steel fabrication or manufacturing environments is a plus</li></ul>Job Type: Full-timeExpected hours: 40 per weekBenefits:<ul><li>401(k)</li><li>401(k) matching</li><li>Dental insurance</li><li>Health insurance</li><li>Paid time off</li><li>Vision insurance</li></ul>Ability to Commute:<ul><li>Farmington, MO 63640 (Required)</li></ul>Work Location: In person
