We are a lean, fast-moving team focused on securing top-tier media coverage and building meaningful brand visibility.We&rsquo;re growing and looking for a Junior Publicist / PR Coordinator to support day-to-day media relations and outreach efforts.The RoleThis is a hands-on, execution-focused role supporting media outreach across multiple clients. We&rsquo;re looking for someone who understands how PR actually works &mdash; not just in theory &mdash; and can contribute immediately.This role is ideal for someone early in their PR career who has strong fundamentals and wants to sharpen their media relations skills in a fast-paced environment.Key Responsibilities<ul><li>Build and maintain targeted media lists using tools like Muck Rack</li><li>Research editors, journalists, and outlets relevant to client industries</li><li>Monitor daily news and identify timely media opportunities</li><li>Draft and send pitches to media contacts</li><li>Conduct consistent, proactive outreach to secure media placements</li><li>Track and report on media coverage (links, placements, etc.)</li><li>Support ongoing PR initiatives and client needs</li><li>Assist with general research and industry monitoring across client verticals</li></ul>What We&rsquo;re Looking For<ul><li>1&ndash;2 years of PR experience (agency experience strongly preferred)</li><li>Proven track record of securing media coverage (this is a must)</li><li>Strong understanding of media relations and pitching</li><li>Experience using Muck Rack (or similar media database tools)</li><li>Excellent research skills &mdash; you know how to find the right contacts, not just any contacts</li><li>Strong writing skills, especially for pitches</li><li>Highly proactive and able to work independently</li><li>Organized and able to manage multiple priorities</li></ul>Bonus (not required):<ul><li>Experience in wellness, lifestyle, beauty, or culture-focused brands</li></ul>Additional Details<ul><li>Must be based in New York (or surrounding tri-state area)</li><li>Ability to meet in person 1&ndash;2x per week as needed</li><li>This is a part-time freelance role (not full-time, no benefits)</li></ul>What Success Looks Like in This Role<ul><li>Consistent media outreach happening weekly (not sporadically)</li><li>High-quality, targeted media lists</li><li>Strong pitch writing and follow-up</li><li>Actual media placements being secured (not just activity)</li></ul>How to ApplyPlease apply by sending an email to caseys@sticklespr.com with:<ul><li>A short intro about your experience</li><li>Examples of recent media placements you&rsquo;ve secured</li></ul>Pay: $25.00 - $35.00 per hourExperience:<ul><li>PR : 1 year (Required)</li></ul>Location:<ul><li>Brooklyn, NY 11211 (Preferred)</li></ul>Ability to Commute:<ul><li>Brooklyn, NY 11211 (Required)</li></ul>Work Location: Hybrid remote in Brooklyn, NY 11211
