 Summary/Objective:
 
 
 
 The Purchasing Manager is responsible for developing and maintaining purchasing strategies that support Stinger&rsquo;s Retail, Commercial and Direct to Consumer (DTC) divisions. This role must maintain an efficient supply chain and balance inventory levels of all Stinger products. This role must be able to cultivate supplier relationships to create the ideal supply base for their team. This role is responsible for maintaining clear and accurate records of all business transactions for the organization regarding purchasing. The Purchasing Manager is responsible for forecasting market trends and mitigating supply chain risks.
 
 
 
 
 
 
 Key Responsibilities:
 
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 Develop and direct the execution of purchasing to include forecasting, planning and inventory control.
 </li>
 <li>
 Lead Improvement Initiatives on Systems (NetSuite / Netstock), Logistics, Procurement, Supply Chain or as business requires.
 </li>
 <li>
 Point of interface with Top suppliers and functions such as Sales, Marketing, Product Development.
 </li>
 <li>
 Oversee purchase order quantities and timing using provided system tools provided; utilize purchasing, planning and logistics team to implement purchase orders.
 </li>
 <li>
 Analyze forecast reporting and inventory level reports against historical demand and current trends for optimal quantity to meet business needs; present information with other departments and at monthly Sales &amp; Operations meetings.
 </li>
 <li>
 Maintain a balance of product service level and inventory cost across multiple facilities, as it relates to the Retail team including dealer, distributor, mass merchant and direct to consumer channels.
 </li>
 <li>
 Identify excess and obsolete items in a timely manner.
 </li>
 <li>
 Build strong vendor relationships; create and review vendors scorecards and monitor vendor delivery performance to drive improvement
 </li>
 <li>
 Manage vendor warranty issues and communicate requirements to returns team.
 </li>
 <li>
 Validate new vendors (primarily Asia based) for their terms, price, policies, lead times, capacity, etc.
 </li>
 <li>
 Proactively support Stinger&rsquo;s Retail &amp; Commercial teams in all aspects of purchasing from the development stage on including ownership of launch dates, communicating project timelines to vendors, and meeting deadlines which impact delivery.
 </li>
 <li>
 Oversee the component management process of contract manufacturers, including the bond programs supporting those components with electronic component suppliers.
 </li>
 <li>
 Maintain and update accurate product information and work order templates within ERP system and supply chain planning tools.
 </li>
 <li>
 Develop direct reports and provide constructive feedback on a regular basis and through annual performance review process.
 </li>
 <li>
 Collaborate with necessary departments to resolve product billing or shipping issues.
 </li>
 <li>
 Lead and support purchasing &amp; logistics team in China about matters related to open POs and transit status
 </li>
 <li>
 Work with internal production and quality teams for value-added steps and product launches that require handling.
 </li>
 <li>
 Research and recommend product or vendor sourcing solutions when challenges arise.
 </li>
 <li>
 In all areas of responsibility negotiate the lowest possible cost while maintaining approved quality within project timeframes and meeting productivity targets.
 </li>
 </ul>
 
 
 
 
 
 Requirements:
 
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 Experience and knowledge of Domestic and International purchasing.
 </li>
 <li>
 Strong computer and technical skills, especially in Excel, and a working understanding of MRP/ERP.
 </li>
 <li>
 Understanding of logistical requirements to supply multisite operations.
 </li>
 <li>
 Strong written and verbal communication skills.
 </li>
 <li>
 Ability to work in a team environment with multiple disciplines of business.
 </li>
 <li>
 Strong competence in decision making.
 </li>
 <li>
 Electronic component supply chain awareness is a plus.
 </li>
 </ul>
 
 
 
 
 
 Required Education and Experience:
 
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 Bachelor&rsquo;s Degree.
 </li>
 <li>
 5+ years&rsquo; experience in purchasing.
 </li>
 <li>
 Negotiation training.
 </li>
 <li>
 Experience with NetSuite is preferred.
 </li>
 <li>
 Experience with Netstock is preferred but not required.
 </li>
