At Stone House Neighborhood Grill, our mission is &ldquo;to create a genuine connection with our neighbors while providing our community with quality food, and exceptional service&rdquo;.In order to achieve success, it is crucial that we employ individuals who believe in our mission and have a strong desire to provide guests with the best experience by becoming a master at their job responsibilities and customer service.Job SummaryHosts/Hostesses are responsible for providing customer assistance services throughout the restaurant and properly utilize any and all restaurant equipment that is used to conduct monetary transactions with customers.<ul><li>Greets and properly acknowledges all guests as they enter and exit the restaurant.</li><li>Ensures accurate completion of all monetary transactions.</li><li>Assists customers who call or dine in by providing accurate restaurant information.</li><li>Provides menu information and suggestions to customers whenever necessary.</li><li>Properly setup, clean, and sanitize tables according to restaurant standard.</li><li>Maintains, cleans, and sanitizes work stations.</li></ul>Workplace Requirements<ul><li>Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.</li><li>Well-organized with ability to take and place food orders accurately.</li><li>Excellent interpersonal skills and focus on serving customers.</li><li>Ability to remain calm when dealing with unruly and argumentative guests.</li><li>Ability to effectively operate point-of-sale systems.</li><li>Must be 18 years of age at the time of hire and eligible to work in the United States.</li><li>Availability to work morning, weekend and evening shifts.</li><li>Must have reliable transportation to travel to and from the restaurant.</li></ul>Physical Requirements<ul><li>Prolonged periods standing and walking.</li><li>Must be able to complete orders quickly and accurately using effective communication skills.</li><li>Ability to push, pull, and carry items that can be between 10-30 pounds.</li></ul>This job description reflects the position&rsquo;s essential functions; it does not encompass all of the tasks that may be assigned (as covered under the Americans with Disabilities Act) expected of an incumbent.
