VII. Job Functions<ul><li>
Performs all Nuclear Medicine procedures in strict accordance with currently approved practices as outlined in department policy and procedure manuals and complying with all applicable federal, state, local and other regulatory requirements.</li><li>
Communicates to the patient the nature of the procedure and answers questions clarifying the procedure for the patient.</li><li>
Demonstrates practical application of age-related factors.</li><li>
Assures patient rights and privacy are maintained.</li><li>
Reports any significant problems related to patient, physicians, nuclear procedures, housekeeping, maintenance, supplies, or personnel to Technical Director.</li><li>
Responsible for proper documentation and maintenance of all required department records.</li><li>
Attends in service and staff meetings.</li><li>
Responsible for refurbishing supplies in treatment rooms.</li><li>
Receives and signs for delivered department supplies and isotopes and ensures all items signed for are delivered.</li><li>
Assist in transporting patients to and from the department.</li><li>
Labels all reagents used to indicate identity date of preparation and assay.</li><li>
Performs and documents daily instrument calibrations.</li><li>
Performs all quality controls as required.</li><li>
Wears appropriate exposure-monitoring devices at all times when in the nuclear area.</li><li>
Administers radioisotopes parenterally when legally permissible.</li><li>
Maintains security of all &quot;hot&quot; and &quot;decay&quot; areas in order to protect all individuals in the hospital.</li><li>
Upon leaving the department, ensures all equipment is properly shut off.</li><li>
Other duties as assigned.</li></ul><h6 class="jobSectionHeader">
What qualifications you will need:</h6>
Education:<ul><li>
Graduate from an Accredited School of Nuclear Medicine approved by the Council on Medical Education of the American Medical Association or the documented equivalent education, experience, and training.</li></ul>
Licensure:<ul><li>
Current certification by CNMT or ARRT Nuc Med.</li><li>
BLS certification through American Red Cross (AHA and military certifications accepted) required upon hire.</li></ul>
Experience:<ul><li>
Ability to perform Nuclear Medicine procedures following accepted standards and protocols.</li><li>
Ability to speak and enunciate clearly.</li><li>
6 months of experience - REQUIRED</li></ul>

Job Summary and Qualifications</h5>
The Clinical Nurse Coordinator (CNC) ensures and delivers high quality, patient-centered care and coordination of all functions in the unit/department during the designated shift. In collaboration with other members of the management team, the CNC directs, monitors, and evaluates nursing care in accordance with established policies/procedures, serves as a resource person for staff, and models a commitment to the organization&rsquo;s vision/mission/values to support an unparalleled patient experience and clinical outcomes that contribute to overall departmental performance.
What you will do in this role:<ul><li>
Assists with admission and discharge processes to ensure efficient throughput and high quality, patient-centered care.</li><li>
Participates in the ongoing assessment of the quality of patient care services provided in the unit, in collaboration with other members of the management team.</li><li>
Collaborates with subject matter experts and other managers to create an environment of teamwork that supports improved outcomes and service.</li><li>
Supports a patient-first philosophy and engages in service recovery when necessary.</li><li>
Supports the efforts of the facility to improve engagement by operationalizing current nursing strategies, including employee rounding, hourly rounds, and other initiatives.
</li><li>Provides recommendations related to interviewing, selecting, and training new staff. Recommends and implements courses of action, including training and development, conflict resolution, personnel policy compliance, completion of performance evaluations, and/or disciplinary actions to ensure a competitively better organization.</li><li>
Assists with staff scheduling. Manages all practical aspects of staff labor in accordance with patient care needs and established productivity guidelines.</li><li>
Supports proper inventory control and assists with managing supplies and equipment.</li></ul><h6 class="jobSectionHeader">
