Job Summary
The Host is the first and last point of contact for members and guests, setting the tone for their entire club experience. Your role is to warmly greet and seat members and guests, ensuring a seamless and positive start and finish to their visit. You will uphold the 3-steps of service by providing exceptional hospitality and maintaining a welcoming atmosphere. Additionally, you will keep the host area organized and assist with other tasks, such as member services representative duties, as needed to support the team.<div>
Reporting Structure</div><ul><li>Reports to the Food &amp; Beverage Director</li></ul>
Day-to-Day<ul><li>
Maintain Invited service standards as outlined in the F&amp;B service training program.</li><li>
Greet members/guests by name, providing a warm and welcoming experience.</li><li>
Seat members/guests while ensuring high-quality service and attention to their needs.</li><li>
Converse with members/guests in a professional manner, staying calm under pressure.</li><li>
Assist service staff as needed, adhering to the Invited standards of service.</li><li>
Ensure the host podium is organized and close out the podium at the end of each shift.</li><li>
Complete daily assignments and side work to meet standards, including keeping work areas organized and sanitized, and stocking supplies.</li><li>
Support employees and contribute to team efforts to deliver the 3-steps of service.</li><li>
Notify management of any members/guests complaints immediately and practice effective service recovery.</li><li>
Handle last-minute requests and changes from Members/Guests professionally</li></ul>
Additional Duties<ul><li>
Due to the dynamic nature of the club, employees are expected to assist others as needed and take on additional tasks as assigned by management.</li><li>
Follow all company, club, and department policies, procedures, and instructions.</li><li>
Maintain a high level of professionalism and a commitment to excellence in interactions with members, colleagues, and staff.</li><li>
Follow safe working practices, ensuring compliance with safety guidelines and encouraging others to do the same.</li><li>
Take the initiative in personal and professional growth and maintain any required certifications relevant to your role.</li><li>
Address and resolve challenges using available resources, working with regional and corporate teams to support club operations.</li><li><div>
Attend daily briefings and actively engage in required activities to stay informed and contribute to the team&rsquo;s success.</div></li><li>
Wear a clean, neat uniform that meets club standards.</li></ul>
About You
Preferred<ul><li>
High school diploma or equivalent.</li><li>
Previous experience in the service or hospitality industry is an advantage.</li><li>
Experience operating a multi-line telephone system.</li><li>
Proven ability to handle sensitive member information with the highest level of confidentiality.</li><li>
Strong communication skills with the ability to follow instructions accurately.</li></ul>
Physical Requirements<ul><li>
Must be able to stand, walk, and perform physical activities for extended periods.</li><li>
Ability to work in varying temperatures and environments, with potential exposure to dust, fumes, or gases.</li><li>
Capable of climbing ladders, squatting, kneeling, reaching, grasping, twisting, bending, and folding/unfolding as required.</li><li>
Able to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 100 lbs. occasionally.</li><li>
Effective communication skills, including talking and hearing, with sufficient visual acuity.</li></ul>
