WE&rsquo;RE GROWING &mdash; DESIGN THAT GETS BUILTAt Stoner Graphix, we don&rsquo;t design for screens&mdash;we design for the real world.For over 35 years, we&rsquo;ve created custom signage, branded environments, vehicle wraps, and large-format graphics that are built, installed, and experienced in physical spaces.We&rsquo;re looking for a Graphic Sign Designer who understands that great design doesn&rsquo;t stop at how it looks&mdash;it&rsquo;s about how it&rsquo;s built, installed, and experienced.If you love typography, layout, and creating original designs&mdash;but also enjoy thinking through materials, scale, and real-world application&mdash;this is your role.WHAT YOU&rsquo;LL BE DOING (REAL DESIGN, REAL APPLICATION)Signage &amp; Environmental Design<ul><li>Design custom signage systems, branded environments, and large-format graphics</li><li>Create layouts for dimensional signs, wall graphics, wayfinding, and exterior signage</li><li>Develop concepts that translate from screen to physical production</li></ul>Production-Ready Design<ul><li>Prepare files for fabrication, printing, and installation</li><li>Work within real-world constraints (materials, scale, installation methods)</li><li>Ensure accuracy in sizing, layout, and production specs</li></ul>Collaboration<ul><li>Work closely with Account Managers to bring client visions to life</li><li>Collaborate with Production to ensure designs are buildable and efficient</li><li>Revise and refine designs based on feedback and real-world considerations</li></ul>Creative Contribution<ul><li>Develop original concepts&mdash;not templates</li><li>Maintain brand consistency across multiple applications</li><li>Balance creativity with function and clarity</li></ul>WHAT WE&rsquo;RE LOOKING FOR (Must-Have)<ul><li>Strong experience in graphic design (Adobe Illustrator required)</li><li>Solid understanding of typography, layout, and composition</li><li>Ability to design original concepts (not template-based work)</li><li>Detail-oriented with strong file setup and organization skills</li><li>Ability to take direction and collaborate with a team</li></ul>Highly Valuable (but not required)<ul><li>Experience in signage, environmental graphics, or large-format design</li><li>Knowledge of materials, fabrication methods, or installation processes</li><li>Experience preparing files for print, CNC, or production workflows</li><li>Familiarity with scale-based design (large signage, vehicles, etc.)</li></ul>THIS ROLE IS NOT FOR YOU IF:<ul><li>Your experience is primarily social media or marketing graphics</li><li>You rely heavily on templates or pre-made assets</li><li>You don&rsquo;t enjoy working within real-world production constraints</li><li>You&rsquo;re not detail-oriented with file setup and accuracy</li></ul>PORTFOLIO REQUIREMENT (IMPORTANT)To be considered for this role, you must submit a portfolio of your work.Applications without a portfolio will not be considered.Your portfolio should demonstrate:<ul><li>Original design work (not template-based)</li><li>Strong typography and layout</li><li>Projects that show real-world application (signage, large format, branding, etc. preferred)</li></ul>WHY STONER GRAPHIXWe&rsquo;ve built our reputation on:<ul><li>Integrity</li><li>Craftsmanship</li><li>Teamwork</li><li>Exceeding expectations</li></ul>Our design team plays a critical role in bringing projects to life&mdash;from concept to installation.WHAT WE OFFER<ul><li>Competitive pay based on experience</li><li>100% employer-paid health insurance</li><li>Paid time off + holidays</li><li>Retirement plan</li><li>Performance-based bonuses</li><li>Opportunity to grow within a highly skilled, collaborative team</li><li>Work on a wide range of custom, high-impact projects</li></ul>THE BOTTOM LINEWe&rsquo;re not looking for someone who just &ldquo;makes things look good.&rdquo;We&rsquo;re looking for a designer who understands how things get built.If you take pride in your work, think beyond the screen, and want to create designs that become real&mdash;apply today.Pay: From $23.00 per hourBenefits:<ul><li>Dental insurance</li><li>Employee assistance program</li><li>Health insurance</li><li>Life insurance</li><li>Paid time off</li><li>Retirement plan</li><li>Vision insurance</li></ul>Application Question(s):<ul><li>Have you included your portfolio?</li></ul>Work Location: In person
