Our vision is to provide a rigorous, joyful and intentional learning environment for all students &ndash; one that paves the way for high school, college and life success.Bring to life Storefront Academy&rsquo;s values:<ul><li>Honesty</li><li>Respect</li><li>Responsibility</li><li>Concern for Others</li><li>Diligence</li><li>Perseverance</li></ul>TERMSThis is a 10-month position that reports to the School PrincipalElementary Physical Education Teacher:Instruction<ul><li>Demonstrate a relentless commitment to improve the minds and lives of students in and out of school;</li><li>Produce effective standards-aligned lesson plans that strive for higher-level objectives while differentiating instruction based on student needs where students develop a love and understanding for health and wellness;</li><li>Build students&rsquo; physical fitness knowledge and skills, including proper techniques for running, stretching &amp; other exercise activities</li><li>Maximize learning time through effective classroom management;</li><li>Meet professional obligations through efficient work habits such as: meeting deadlines, honoring schedules and collaborating effectively with co-teachers and colleagues</li></ul>Professional development:<ul><li>Participate actively in weekly scheduled professional development, including timely, quality completion of any assignments before and after each session.</li><li>Provide input into the development of the school&rsquo;s professional development priorities and feedback on weekly sessions.</li></ul>Performance Evaluation<ul><li>Prepare for and participate actively in observations of your work by instructional leaders, and collaborate to act on their feedback for student achievement.</li><li>Participate actively in annual evaluation of your performance, including timely and high-quality execution of all steps in the evaluation process.</li></ul>School Culture<ul><li>Contribute to a joyful and rigorous school culture</li><li>Implement the school&rsquo;s academic and behavioral expectations on a consistent basis</li><li>Collaborate with school staff to support students&rsquo; academic and socio-emotional development;</li><li>Implement the school&rsquo;s traditions and rituals that support the school&rsquo;s mission, grade by grade, year to year;</li><li>Foster commitment among staff to the development and fulfillment of the school&rsquo;s mission and values;</li></ul>Stakeholder Engagement<ul><li>Communicate proactively and effectively with all stakeholders;</li><li>Families</li><li>Board of Trustees</li><li>Government officials</li><li>Charter Authorizer</li><li>Ensure families are kept involved and held accountable for their children&rsquo;s performance, and correspond about school policies, trips, and events;</li><li>Respond to stakeholder concerns promptly and effectively</li></ul>Job Type: Part-timePay: $50.00 per hourWork Location: In person
