 Job Summary:
 
 
 
 The Commercial Service Technician will Test /Troubleshoot AC systems, continuity of circuits in electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures, using testing devices such as ohmmeters, voltmeters, and oscilloscopes, to ensure compatibility and safety of system.

 Duties/Responsibilities
 
 
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 Work from ladders, scaffolds, and roofs.
 </li>
 <li>
 Troubleshoots, maintains, modifies and repairs heating, ventilating and air conditioning systems and equipment including, reciprocating chillers, 225- ton and 190 - ton rotary screw chillers, heat exchangers, fans and fan motors, pumps and pump motors, electric and pneumatic controls, and associated safety, over current and other equipment protection devices ensuring that they operate at peak efficiency and conserve energy usage.
 </li>
 <li>
 Assemble, install, test, and maintain electrical wiring, equipment, appliances, and fixtures.
 </li>
 <li>
 Provide preliminary sketches and cost estimates for materials and services.
 </li>
 <li>
 Diagnose malfunctioning systems. Locate the cause of the breakdown and correct the problem.
 </li>
 <li>
 Connect wires to circuit breakers, transformers, or other components.
 </li>
 <li>
 Inspect electrical systems, identify hazards or defects; adjust or repair to ensure compliance with codes. Advise management of hazardous equipment
 </li>
 <li>
 Plan layout and installation of electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures, based on job specs and local codes.
 </li>
 <li>
 Work from ladders, scaffolds, and roofs to install, maintain, or repair electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures.
 </li>
 <li>
 Performs other related duties as assigned.
 </li>
 <li>
 Repair and maintain washers, dryers, and small appliances.
 </li>
 <li>
 Plans, monitors, installs, and adjusts the full range of heating, cooling, ventilation, and refrigeration equipment by means of an energy management system hands-on work.
 </li>
 <li>
 Troubleshoots, maintains, modifies, and repairs heating, ventilating and air conditioning systems and equipment including, reciprocating chillers, 225- ton and 190 - ton rotary screw chillers, heat exchangers, fans and fan motors, pumps and pump motors, electric and pneumatic controls, and associated safety, over current and other equipment protection devices ensuring that they operate at peak efficiency and conserve energy usage.
 </li>
 <li>
 Performs installation of mechanical systems to include piping and modifications to existing facility&rsquo;s cooling systems.
 </li>
 <li>
 Utilizes and updates blueprints, technical manuals, manufacturer&rsquo;s files, and other record keeping.
 </li>
 <li>
 Monitors work done by outside contractors for adherence to state and federal code requirements and report back to supervisor.
 </li>
 <li>
 Perform all duties which may be assigned.
 </li>
 <li>
 Perform corrective and preventive maintenance on packaged units, split coil systems, air compressors, pumps, air handlers, air cooled condensers, reciprocating chillers, 250 -ton centrifugal and 190- ton rotary screw chillers, and various heat exchangers.
 </li>
 <li>
 Must perform duties and responsibilities of a Journeyman level mechanic with strong a background in HVAC and refrigeration equipment to include hands on experience in operating and troubleshooting industrial systems.
 </li>
 <li>
 Installation of mechanical systems to include piping and modifications to existing facilities cooling systems.
 
 
 </li>
 </ul>
 
 
 
 
 
 Required Skills/Abilities
 
 
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 Ability to troubleshoot single &amp; three phase installation.
 </li>
 <li>
 Ability to work tablet, laptop, or desktop devise.
 </li>
 <li>
 Must have clean driving record (No more than 3 points in 12 months)
 </li>
 <li>
 Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test
 </li>
 <li>
 Able to work a flexible schedule which may include weekends.
 </li>
 <li>
 Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
 </li>
 <li>
 Ability to solve basic math problems.

 Education And Experience

 Three to five years of related experience required.
 
 
 </li>

 Prolonged periods standing, crawling, climbing.

 Must be able to lift 45 pounds at times.

 The AC Punch Out Tech is responsible for installing heating, ventilation, and air conditioning equipment in new construction residential homes following manufacturer specifications, industry codes and standards, and company requirements.

 Installation of ductwork in residential new construction homes.

 </li>
 <li>
 Maintain quality standards on all installations and tasks.
 </li>
 <li>
 Always maintain safety standards.
 </li>
 <li>
 Report to the Field Supervisor of completion of daily tasks.
 </li>
 <li>
 Must be willing to operate a company vehicle.
 </li>
 <li>
 All other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
