Service Plumber (Austin, TX)

<h5 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>The HVAC Service Technician will Test /Troubleshoot AC systems, continuity of circuits in electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures, using testing devices such as ohmmeters, voltmeters, and oscilloscopes, to ensure compatibility and safety of system.</b></h5>
<h5 class="jobSectionHeader"><b><i>Duties/Responsibilities:</i></b></h5>
<ul><li><h5 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>Work from ladders, scaffolds, and roofs.</b></h5>
</li></ul><ul><li><h5 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>Troubleshoots, maintains, modifies, and repairs heating, ventilating and air conditioning systems, fans and fan motors, and associated safety, over current and other equipment protection devices ensuring that they operate at peak efficiency and conserve energy usage.</b></h5>
</li></ul><ul><li><h5 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>Provide preliminary sketches and cost estimates for materials and services.</b></h5>
</li><li><h5 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>Diagnose malfunctioning systems. Locate cause of breakdown and correct the problem.</b></h5>
</li><li><h5 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>Connect wires to circuit breakers, transformers, or other components.</b></h5>
</li><li><h5 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>Inspect electrical systems, identify hazards or defects; adjust or repair to ensure compliance with codes. Advise management of hazardous equipment.</b></h5>
</li><li><h5 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>Performs other related duties as assigned.</b></h5>
</li></ul><ul><li><h5 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>Plans, monitors, installs, and adjusts the full range of heating, cooling, ventilation equipment by means of an energy management system hands-on work.</b></h5>
</li><li><h5 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>Performs installation of mechanical systems to include piping and modifications to existing facility&rsquo;s cooling systems.</b></h5>
</li><li><h5 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>Perform corrective and preventive maintenance on packaged units, split coil systems, air compressors, pumps, air handlers, air cooled condensers.</b></h5>
</li><li><h5 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>Must perform duties and responsibilities with a strong background in HVAC and refrigeration equipment to include hands on experience in operating and troubleshooting systems.</b></h5>
</li><li><h5 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>Installation of mechanical systems to include piping and modifications to existing cooling systems.</b></h5>
