Responsibilities</b></p><br>
<ul><li>
Conduct research to identify potential vendors and evaluate their price, quality, and delivery timeframes.</li><li>
Create and maintain relationships with vendors to ensure seamless collaboration and communication.</li><li>
Negotiate contracts and pricing to obtain the best possible value for the company.</li><li>
Ensure all purchasing documents are complete and accurate such as purchase orders, invoices, and delivery notes.</li><li>
Monitor inventory levels to ensure that stock is maintained at optimal levels while also avoiding over-purchasing.</li><li>
Track and report key purchasing metrics such as delivery times, quality, and cost savings.</li><li>
Work with the finance team to ensure timely payment to vendors and resolve any payment issues that arise.</li><li>
Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as production and operations to ensure purchasing meets business needs.</li></ul></div><div><p><b><br>
Requirements</b></p><br>
<ul><li>
A minimum of 2 years of experience in purchasing, procurement, or related roles</li><li>
Strong knowledge of procurement processes, vendor management, and contract negotiations</li><li>
Excellent negotiation and communication skills, including the ability to build solid relationships with vendors and internal teams</li><li>
Strong analytical and critical thinking skills to analyze data and provide insights into purchasing trends</li><li>
Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet tight deadlines</li><li>
Attention to detail and the ability to maintain accurate documentation</li><li>
Ability to adapt quickly to changes in demand and market conditions</li><li>
Proficiency in using inventory management software and systems</li><li>
Experience with inventory control and cycle counts is a plus</li><li>
Experience with SYSPRO software a plus</li><li>
Experience in Job Shop/manufacturing environment a plus</li></ul></div></div>
