Position Summary
While working as a Large Format Signage Graphic Designer, you will be tasked with fulfilling duties and performing tasks related to creating high-quality designs for large-scale print applications, including banners, vehicle wraps, signage, wall graphics, trade show displays, and other large-format prints. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of design principles and printing processes, particularly as they relate to large-format outputs.
Essential Duties &amp; Responsibilities<ul><li>
Develop custom designs for wide-format print projects such as vehicle wraps, banners, signs, and exhibits.</li><li>
Prepare and optimize files for wide-format printing, ensuring color accuracy, bleed, resolution, and proper file formats.</li><li>
Work closely with the sales team, clients, and production staff to understand project needs and translate them into effective visual designs.</li><li>
Use industry-standard software like Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign) and RIP software (Raster Image Processor) to create print-ready files.</li><li>
Understand the properties of various printing materials such as vinyl, fabric, mesh, and other substrates used in wide-format production.</li><li>
Review proofs, conduct pre-production checks, and monitor the printing process to ensure the final product matches the intended design.</li><li>
Occasionally meet with clients to discuss design concepts, provide feedback, and make adjustments based on their needs.</li><li>
Stay updated on design trends and printing technologies to offer innovative solutions and creative ideas.</li><li>
Handle multiple projects simultaneously, managing deadlines and prioritizing tasks to ensure timely delivery.</li></ul>
Requirements:

Qualifications
Education and/or Experience<ul><li>
2-5 years of experience in graphic design, must be in a large-format print environment.</li><li>
High School diploma required, bachelor&rsquo;s degree in graphic design, fine arts, or a related field is preferred.</li></ul>
Computer Skills<ul><li>
Strong expertise in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign) and knowledge of wide-format printing processes.</li><li>
High level of accuracy in creating print-ready files, ensuring proper scaling and placement for large formats.</li><li>
Knowledge of printing hardware, RIP software, and familiarity with color management and ICC profiles preferred.</li></ul>
Other Qualifications<ul><li>
Ability to create visually compelling designs that align with client goals and brand guidelines.</li><li>
Ability to troubleshoot design issues, including color correction, image resolution, and file formatting.</li><li>
Strong verbal and written communication skills to articulate design concepts and coordinate with team members and clients.</li><li>
Strong organizational skills to manage multiple projects with tight deadlines.</li><li>
Vision abilities required by this job include being able to see clearly at 20 inches or less, distinguish colors, and adjust focus</li><li>
Mathematical abilities required by this job include reading a ruler, calculating simple costs, and other basic mathematical skills</li></ul>
