Studio 8 also engages in company activities to create a strong team.Job SummaryThe Administrative/Accounting Assistant supports the Controller by performing a variety of accounting, bookkeeping, and administrative tasks. As the first point of contact for the office, your role will entail greeting clients, answering phones, providing administrative support, and fulfilling daily accounting activities. The ideal candidate is professional, detail-oriented, organized, and proficient working with accounting software and spreadsheets.Key Responsibilities<ul><li>Accurately record transactions, journal entries, and financial data using accounting software (Deltek Vantagepoint)</li><li>Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions</li><li>Assist in generating client billings</li><li>Process incoming mail</li><li>Prepare bank deposits and reconcile bank statements</li><li>Track and maintain consultant insurance certificates</li><li>Maintain accurate financial records and documentation</li><li>Communicate with vendors and consultants</li><li>Assist with time sheets and expense reports</li><li>Ensure professional registrations are current</li><li>Provide administrative support and assist with special projects</li><li>Schedule continuing education</li><li>Maintain office supplies</li><li>Assist with company outings and trips</li></ul>Qualifications<ul><li>Accounting Diploma or Associate&rsquo;s (preferred)</li><li>2 years&rsquo; experience in accounting, bookkeeping or a related role (preferred)</li><li>Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial practice</li><li>Proficiency in Microsoft (Excel, Word, Teams)</li><li>Strong attention to detail and accuracy</li><li>Written and verbal communication skills</li><li>Good organizational and time management skills</li><li>Ability to maintain confidentiality of financial information</li></ul>Benefits:Studio 8 Design offers a 401(k) Safe Harbor Plan, Paid Vacation, Sick Leave, Paid Holidays, and opportunities for advancement.
