We're expanding our social video presence across YouTube and TikTok and are seeking a skilled Video Editor to help bring engaging, high-quality educational videos to life. <b>This is an online, remote contract role. All work is paid per piece.</b></div>

<div><b>Project Description</b></div>
<div>
<p>As a Video Editor for Study.com, you'll collaborate closely with our project teams and on-camera presenters to produce professional, platform-specific videos that inform, entertain, and inspire learners worldwide.</p>
<p>
Your work will include editing long-form YouTube content and short-form TikTok content while following brand guidelines and ensuring excellence in storytelling, pacing, and visual engagement.</p>
</div>
</div><div><ul><li>Edit raw footage into <b>5&ndash;20 minute videos optimized for YouTube</b> as well as <b>1&ndash;3 minute videos optimized for TikTok</b>.</li>
<li>Follow Study.com's <b>brand and style guidelines</b> across both platforms.</li>
<li>Source or create <b>copyright-safe visuals, music, and sound effects</b>.</li>
<li>Add <b>text overlays, motion graphics, and visual enhancements</b> tailored to platform formats.</li>
<li>Collaborate with content producers to ensure final videos meet <b>quality standards</b> and project briefs.</li>
<li>Apply best practices for pacing, storytelling, and engagement specific to <b>YouTube and TikTok audiences</b>.</li>
<li>Organize project files, maintain clear version control, and deliver edits within specified turnaround timelines.</li>
</ul>
</div><div><p><b>Required Skills:</b></p>
<ul>
<li><b>2+ years of video editing experience</b>, including social media and long-form content (e.g., YouTube and TikTok) editing.</li>
<li>Strong portfolio demonstrating expertise in both short-form and long-form video editing.</li>
<li>Proficiency with video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve).</li>
<li>Ability to create engaging visual narratives and dynamic motion graphics.</li>
<li>Solid understanding of platform formatting, pacing, and audience engagement.</li>
<li>Knowledge of copyright-safe media sourcing and licensing practices.</li>
<li>Reliable turnaround and time-management skills.</li>
</ul>
<p><b>Additional Preferred Skills:</b></p>
<ul>
<li>Degree or coursework in film, video production, digital media, or related field.</li>
<li>Experience working with workflow tools like Wistia, Smartsheet, or comparable project systems.</li>
<li>Familiarity with advanced editing plugins (e.g., eye contact correction, color balancing, generative visuals).</li>
