<div>STV has an immediate need in our South Carolina offices for an Assistant Project Manager/Roadway Engineer in our Transportation division. The successful candidate will:<ul><li>
Provide professional design services for transportation improvement projects for municipal agencies, local governments, and SCDOT.</li><li><ul><li>Provide schematic/functional designs, roadway geometry, roadway details, drainage, work zone traffic control, pavement markings, and signing for transportation infrastructure.</li></ul></li><li>
Assist with Utility Coordination on an as-needed basis on small and mid-sized projects.</li><li>
Interact with client management teams, engineers in other technical disciplines, and marketing teams.</li><li>
Design experience using MicroStation, Geopak, and Open Roads (ORD) is required.</li><li>
Coordinate design development, mentor, and assist with technical direction to other technicians, interns, and entry level engineering specialists</li><li>
Coordinate with the design team to achieve quality deliverables within the established schedule and budget</li><li>
Assist with the development of specifications, cost estimates, and technical reports</li><li>
Work with practice and office leadership, client development, business development and industry participation to advance your career and STV&rsquo;s growth.</li><li>
Facilitate project meetings both within STV and with clients.</li><li>
Assist senior project managers with to create, maintain, and monitor scopes, fees, schedules, staffing projections, risk registers, sub agreements, QC records, deliverable submittals, and invoices.</li><li>
Establish working relationships and interface with client technical staff and client project managers</li></ul> 
The ideal candidate is an individual who is a self-starter, an excellent communicator, and possesses a comprehensive understanding of SCDOT practices, checklists, and roadway plans. 
 
Qualifications:<ul><li>
Minimum of 5+ years of experience in technical aspects of roadway design</li><li>
Minimum bachelor&rsquo;s degree in civil engineering is required</li><li>
SC PE license is required
</li><li>Experience in design of intersections, roundabouts, interchanges, widenings, or bike/ped facilities.</li><li>
Experience with using Microstation, Geopak, and Open Roads Designer
</li><li>Experience with SCDOT and municipalities</li><li>
Strong inter-personal skills for client and other engineering discipline interaction</li><li>
NCDOT or GDOT experience is a plus</li><li>
Drainage, erosion control, and utility coordination experience is a plus</li></ul>

$118,489.97 - $135,417.11

STV&rsquo;s National Healthcare Practice is in an active growth phase &mdash; expanding its geographic reach, deepening its clinical expertise, and building a team capable of delivering complex health and wellbeing environments for academic medical centers, integrated health systems, public-sector clients, and ambulatory networks. We are looking for senior leaders who want to help shape that trajectory, not just fill a seat on a project.
Your Opportunity
As Senior Interior Designer, you will provide design leadership across health and wellbeing projects &mdash; from visioning and concept development through documentation, construction administration, and closeout. You will translate client goals, clinical operational needs, and evidence-based design principles into interior environments that support patient experience, staff performance, and long-term facility durability. This role operates at the intersection of design excellence and technical rigor, requires a senior client-facing presence, and contributes directly to STV&rsquo;s pursuit and business development efforts in the health and wellbeing market.
Your Key Responsibilities<ul><li>Lead interior design efforts across health and wellbeing projects from pre-design and programming through construction administration and closeout &mdash; maintaining design intent, technical continuity, and quality standards throughout.</li><li>Drive concept development and design strategy &mdash; translating client mission, brand, patient and caregiver experience goals, clinical workflows, and evidence-based design principles into cohesive interior environments across a range of health and wellbeing project types.</li><li>Lead FF&amp;E strategy, product research, material and furniture selection, finish schedules, and procurement coordination &mdash; with a thorough understanding of healthcare-appropriate performance standards, durability, cleanability, and infection prevention requirements.</li><li>Prepare and lead interior finish and FF&amp;E specifications, ensuring technical accuracy, alignment with project requirements, healthcare industry standards, and STV QA/QC expectations.</li><li>Apply working knowledge of applicable codes, guidelines, and clinical environment requirements &mdash; including FGI Guidelines, ADA, life safety coordination, infection control design principles, and state DOH standards &mdash; as they apply to interior design scope.</li><li>Coordinate interior design decisions with architecture, medical planning, MEP/FP, technology, signage and wayfinding, sustainability, and specialty consultant teams &mdash; ensuring integrated delivery across all disciplines.</li><li>Facilitate stakeholder engagement with healthcare executives, clinical leadership, facilities teams, infection prevention representatives, and end users &mdash; translating complex operational and experiential input into clear interior design direction.</li><li>Ensure all interior design documentation meets STV QA/QC standards, project-specific client requirements, and healthcare operational expectations &mdash; and lead or participate in interdisciplinary reviews, mock-up evaluations, and milestone deliverable reviews.</li><li>Support business development through pursuit strategy, design narrative development, interview preparation, and client presentations &mdash; contributing to STV&rsquo;s positioning in the health and wellbeing market.</li><li>Mentor junior designers and emerging health and wellbeing interior design professionals &mdash; sharing technical and design knowledge, modeling client-ready professional judgment, and actively contributing to the long-term depth of the practice.</li><li>Contribute to practice growth by identifying follow-on opportunities with current clients, participating in lessons-learned processes, and helping advance the quality and consistency of STV&rsquo;s health and wellbeing interior design offering.</li></ul>
Qualifications
Required Qualifications<ul><li>Bachelor&rsquo;s or Master&rsquo;s degree in Interior Design, Interior Architecture, or Architecture from an accredited program.</li><li>Active NCIDQ certification &mdash; required.</li><li>12+ years of industry experience, with 10+ years of healthcare interior design experience within that total.</li><li>Demonstrated knowledge of applicable codes, guidelines, and standards as they apply to interior design scope &mdash; including FGI Guidelines, ADA, infection control design principles, and state DOH requirements.</li><li>Proficiency with Revit, AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, and SketchUp.</li><li>Demonstrated experience with FF&amp;E strategy, finish selection, specifications writing, and procurement coordination in healthcare environments.</li><li>Strong oral, written, and visual communication skills, with the ability to present effectively to clients, user groups, project teams, vendors, contractors, and leadership.</li></ul>
Preferred Qualifications<ul><li>AAHID certification, or active progress toward certification.</li><li>EDAC, LEED AP, or WELL AP accreditation.</li><li>Experience with Lean planning, user group facilitation, mock-up planning, post-occupancy evaluation, or design research related to healthcare outcomes and patient experience.</li><li>Experience with large academic medical centers, public-sector clients, or multi-site integrated health systems.</li><li>Experience supporting healthcare pursuits, shortlist interviews, technical approach narratives, and client relationship-building activities.</li></ul>
