Job Title: Assistant Accountant (Support to Senior Accountant)Key Responsibilities:<ul><li>Assist Senior Accountant with day-to-day financial operations and month-end close activities.</li><li>Manage billing and invoicing processes:</li><li>Generate and issue customer invoices accurately and timely.</li><li>Verify supporting documents (purchase orders, contracts, delivery notes) for each invoice.</li><li>Reconcile billed amounts with sales orders and revenue records.</li><li>Monitor accounts receivable:</li><li>Track outstanding invoices and follow up with customers on overdue payments.</li><li>Prepare and send reminder notices and escalate delinquent accounts as needed.</li><li>Assist with cash application and posting of payments to the ledger.</li><li>Vendor payments and supplier management:</li><li>Verify and process invoices from vendors for accuracy and compliance.</li><li>Prepare and schedule payments.</li><li>Maintain vendor master data and ensure timely resolution of discrepancies.</li><li>Check processing and reconciliation:</li><li>Prepare, print, and issue checks; ensure proper authorization and documentation.</li><li>Reconcile cleared checks with bank statements and accounting records.</li><li>General accounting duties:</li><li>Maintain organized and up-to-date financial records in the accounting system.</li><li>Assist with bank reconciliations, expense coding, and journal entries.</li><li>Support audit preparation by providing required financial documentation.</li><li>Assist with month-end and year-end close tasks as directed.</li><li>Compliance and controls:</li><li>Ensure adherence to internal controls, company policies, and regulatory requirements.</li><li>Maintain confidentiality and security of financial information.</li><li>Administrative tasks:</li><li>Respond to vendor and customer inquiries promptly.</li><li>Produce periodic reports on A/R, A/P, cash position, and aging analysis as requested.</li><li>Support process improvements to enhance accuracy and efficiency.</li></ul>Required Skills and Qualifications:<ul><li>Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent experience).</li><li>Proven experience in accounting support roles, preferably with exposure to billing, invoicing, and vendor payments.</li><li>Solid understanding of basic accounting principles (GAAP/IFRS as applicable) and financial statement interpretation.</li><li>Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle NetSuite, Tally, or ERP systems) and MS Excel (VLOOKUP's, pivot tables, etc.).</li><li>Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills.</li><li>Effective communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with customers, vendors, and internal teams.</li><li>Ability to manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and maintain confidentiality.</li></ul>Job Type: Full-timePay: ₹12,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per monthBenefits:<ul><li>Cell phone reimbursement</li><li>Leave encashment</li><li>Provident Fund</li></ul>Work Location: In person
