This Human Resources Generalist &ndash; Recruiter role is a unique opportunity to work in close partnership with the HR Site Leader to develop, lead and facilitate HR functions for the Cedar Rapids facility. The primary focus of this position will be to lead full cycle recruitment efforts for hourly and salaried workforce. Additional HR functions may include employee relations, compensation and benefits administration, employee development, safety and health/wellness and equal opportunity affairs.

Primary Planning and Start-Up Responsibilities:
<ul>
<li>Support the development and implementation of:
<ul><li>Strategic, high-volume recruitment, hiring and onboarding initiatives.</li>
<li>New hire orientation development in partnership with Operations and the Continuous Improvement team.</li>
<li>A high-performance work system including employee development / progression.</li>
<li>Policy and procedures for the Cedar Rapids facility that support a positive culture.</li>
<li>A strong communication strategy and an employee recognition program.</li>
</ul></li><li>Participating in initiatives that increase our employer brand within the community and develop pipelines for both technical and leadership opportunities.</li>
<li>Contribute to a cooperative, start-up environment by demonstrating a willingness to perform other job-related activities as needed and / or requested.</li></ul> 


Primary Ongoing Responsibilities:
<ul>
<li>Lead full life cycle recruitment efforts for Team Member positions.</li>
<li>Lead new hire orientation and onboarding for new employees.</li>
<li>Assess candidate skills / abilities and culture fit during phone screens and on-site interviews.</li>
<li>Collaborate with the Human Resources team and hiring managers to continuously improve recruiting process.</li>
<li>Serve as a trusted advisor to managers and employees to organizational goals while fostering a positive and engaging work environment.</li>
<li>Act as a coach and empower the growth of strong leadership, with a focus on developing Team Leaders and Group Leaders.</li>
<li>Process and manage authorized leaves including FMLA and ADA requests.</li>
<li>Plan and coordinate morale boosters/employee engagement activities for facility employees.</li>
<li>Identify training and education needs and initiate cost-effective delivery systems to meet those needs.</li>
<li>Coach and influence manufacturing team on company policy work rules, as well as applicable federal and state regulations to ensure fair and consistent delivery of human resource services.</li>
<li>Support workers compensation program and other safety initiatives.</li>
<li>Assist in the development and implementation of personnel policies and procedures.</li></ul>

Knowledge of federal and state employment laws and regulations
</li><li>Experience with UKG or related HRIS/ATS recruitment system
</li><li>Progressive HR and / or recruitment experience
</li></ul>Preferred<ul><li>
HR experience in a manufacturing setting</li></ul><h4 class="jobSectionHeader">
Education</h4>
Required<ul><li>
Bachelors or better in Human Resources or related field</li></ul>
