<div>SUMMARY
Supports the management of warranty, recall, and Subaru Added Security (SAS) (extended warranty) claims through comprehensive financial and management reporting, analysis, and accounting processes. Transforms financial data into actionable business insights to assist senior management in decision-making. 
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES
<ul><li>Conducts in-depth analysis and prepares comprehensive reports on activities related to warranty claims, recall campaigns, and Subaru Added Security (SAS) (extended warranty) claims, which involves identifying trends, assessing performance metrics, and providing detailed insights to inform business decisions.
</li><li>Prepares detailed monthly invoices to parent company for expenses related to warranty claims, recall campaigns, and legal matters. Ensures accurate billing and timely submission of invoices.
</li><li>Leverages Oracle Projects module to execute necessary processes, gather and verify data, and perform essential uploads to facilitate the completion of the accounting close process. Handles the recording of all claims activity including Added Security claims.
</li><li>Utilizes information technology (IT) systems and software tools to enhance the efficiency of data collection, analysis, and reporting processes, including leveraging data analytics platforms to generate meaningful insights into business performance and operational effectiveness.
</li><li>Reviews and analyzes all available claims data to accurately calculate and enter necessary journal entries, ensuring the completeness and accuracy of the accounting close process.
</li><li>Develops and presents detailed financial and operational reports and forecasts to Finance and business leadership stakeholders. Creates and delivers presentations that clearly communicate financial performance, operational efficiency, and strategic recommendations.
</li><li>Applies analytical and technical skills to analyze complex data sets and generate actionable business insights. Utilizes charts, graphs, and other visual aids to enhance the understanding and communication of data findings.
</li><li>Ensures strict adherence to compliance requirements, including Japan's Financial Instruments and Exchange Law (JSOX), International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), and internal accounting policies. Stays updated on regulatory changes and implements necessary adjustments to maintain compliance.
</li>Prepares Profit Enhancement Program (PEP) payment file at the end of each month to pay third-party PEP payees. Maintains payee listing and percentages as changes occur.

</li></ul>ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES
<ul><li>Performs other miscellaneous tasks and special projects as required.
</li><li>Contributes to claims, enterprise performance management (EPM), and enterprise resource planning (ERP) system changes and implementations including defining requirements, test case development, and user validation and testing.
</li>Works collaboratively to build knowledge, improve processes, and develop subject matter expertise.

</li></ul>REQUIRED SKILLS AND PERSONAL QUALIFICATIONS
<ul><li>Bachelor's Degree in accounting or finance required
</li><li>At least 4-6 years required
</li><li>Prior experience working with large data sets utilizing data mining tools.
</li><li>Well-developed analytical and critical thinking skills, including ability to create reports and analysis from large amounts of data sourced from information technology (IT) systems.
</li><li>Experience with creating effective data visualizations.
</li><li>Prior experience managing multiple tasks, deadlines, and priorities including ad-hoc projects.
</li><li>Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of employees both within the Accounting department and other Subaru of America (SOA) departments as well as with Subaru parent and affiliate companies.
</li><li>Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office products including Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint.
</li><li>Experience working with enterprise resource planning (ERP), enterprise performance management (EPM), and business intelligence (BI) systems.
</li><li>Experience working with Oracle financial system software Preferred
</li>Strong familiarity of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP), International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), and the preparation of journal entries.

COMPENSATION: The recruiting base salary range for this full-time position is $72,000 &ndash; $95,000 / year. Within the range, individual pay is determined by factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Additionally, this role is bonus-eligible , with a target bonus percentage that provides an opportunity to earn even more based on your performance. (Internal Job Grade: P2)
