The role will work as part of an integrated project team to review client requirements, develop associated methodologies, procedures and budgets.</div><br>

<li>Provide technical and operational input throughout the SURF project lifecycle, from tender development to execution and close-out</li>
<li>Liaise with internal teams, clients, and third-party providers to identify personnel, equipment, and project needs, ensuring timely delivery to worksites</li>
<li>Develop and review project-specific survey procedures, ensuring alignment with client requirements and industry standards</li>
<li>Attend and lead project briefings and debriefings with survey personnel and stakeholders to ensure clarity of scope and expectations</li>
<li>Manage survey deliverables, oversee third-party service providers, and ensure quality and timeliness of outputs within budget constraints</li>
<li>Ensure end-of-trip reports are completed promptly, with lessons learned documented and communicated for continuous improvement</li>
<li>Identify and implement opportunities to enhance survey processes, workflows, and technologies to improve efficiency and data quality</li>
<li>Mentor and support junior surveyors, providing technical guidance and training</li>

<li>Bachelor&rsquo;s degree or above in Surveying, Geomatics, Hydrography, Geophysics, or a related science discipline</li>
<li>Membership in a professional survey association is beneficial</li>
<li>Demonstrable role relevant experience in a similar position, with a background in offshore survey operations</li>
<li>Demonstrated experience in subsea construction operations, with a comprehensive understanding of current techniques and technologies in ROV-based positioning, measurement, and mapping</li>
<li>Proficient in project planning and execution, demonstrating the ability to oversee workloads efficiently while upholding safety and quality standards</li>
<li>Effective communication and collaboration abilities, both written and verbal, with a proactive and team-oriented mindset</li>

The GPC Engineering Function, Design &amp; Analysis Group, &quot;Risers, Installation Analyses and Umbilical&quot; (RIAU) department is currently looking for <b>Senior Engineer</b> for Middle East Project to support Power cable procurement follow-up, Power cable configuration design and installation analysis.<br>
The successful candidate will also contribute to the development of discipline through various work on Technology development, Workstream and / or continuous improvements initiatives.</div><div><br>
<b>
Main Responsibilities include:</b></div>
<ul>
<li>Coordinate with team of Engineers to meet the required project constraints on required engineering works, optimisation, workload, schedule etc:</li>
<li>Organise a regular meeting with the engineers and maintain the action register. Issue regular reporting including document progress, resource mobilization planning, manhour tracking, and ensure technical changes with respect to the base scope are tracked properly.</li>
<li>Attend project review meetings, vendor meetings, and engineering meetings organised by other disciplines</li>
<li>Organise and support the design review along with Lead and PEM (internally within Subsea 7 and externally with Client)</li>
<li>Provide regular reporting to engineering manager regarding MDR/SDR Progress, Status of key registers (e.g. Supplier TQ, Deviation Request etc.), any technical changes from the base case scope.</li>
<li>Ensure that know-how is transferred within the discipline (e.g. Project Lesson Learnt).</li>
<li>Manage the Power cable / Umbilical procurement package.</li>
<li>Meet the required project constraints on required engineering works, optimisation, workload, schedule etc.</li>
<li>Understand Client needs and specification to develop Technical Scope of Work for Suppliers along with client documentations.</li>
<li>Interface with SCM/Supplier to evaluate the various proposals for Power cable / Umbilical and associated ancillaries, support the selection of the Supplier through technical bid evaluation.</li>
<li>Plan, detail and review technical documentation (from Subsea 7 and from Supplier) relating to Power Cable / Umbilical, Topside interface, Cross section design, End terminations, Ancillaries, and other associated hardware.</li>
<li>Act as the owner of the supplier documents and ensure supplier documents are reviewed by relevant disciplines, ensure all the internal comments are discussed with the reviewers, and consolidate the comments for further discussions with the supplier.</li>
<li>Identify and manage the required project interface (e.g. Contractors, Client, PEM, Package manager, Suppliers, SCM, QC, HSE etc.) to ensure progress and compliance of the supplier scope.</li>
<li>Ensure selected design / proposal is in accordance with industry Codes, Standards and Design Guides (e.g. API, DnV, ISO); Client Specifications, Scopes of Work, and Subsea 7 internal standard (BMS)</li>
<li>Actively follow-up project planning with SCM and QC Function related to design activities, manufacturing, testing by suppliers. Ad-hoc mission to supplier premise may be required.</li>
<li>Provide engineering assistance during mobilizations, FATs, SITs, Pre-commissioning etc.</li>
<li>Train and Mentor Jr Engineers.</li>
<li>Cable / Umbilical Installation analysis background and knowledge is good to have.</li>
<li>Support various Workstream and continuous improvements initiatives such as:</li>
<li>Develop internal tools, guidelines, templates and training material</li>
<li>Encourage knowledge sharing within the discipline.</li>
<li>Support trainees and less experienced engineers</li>
<li>To adapt to workload, you shall support Oil and gas SURF Projects / Tenders / FEED on Cable/ umbilical procurement package when required.</li>

Requirements</b></div>
<ul><li>Engineering Degree or equivalent qualification</li><li>Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in similar Cable/Umbilical package management</li><li>Minimum 3 years of experience in working Cable/Umbilical package management preferably in Saudi and Qatar projects</li><li>Proactively undertake responsibility for production of deliverables, which may include design calculations, specifications, procedures, progress reports, engineering support to drafting office, and various 3rd-party submissions</li><li>Experience in leading small engineering teams</li><li>Knowledge on installation, on-bottom stability, routing, crossing etc</li><li>Experience of working in a multi-disciplined system engineering team</li><li>Ability in Vendor and 3rd Party interface</li><li>Orcaflex In-place / Installation Analyses</li><li>Flexible System Design</li><li>Subsea controls systems and instrumentation</li><li>Installation methodology and constraints for Cable/Umbilical</li></ul><br>
