Sugino Corp, a leader in precision cleaning, cutting, &amp; deburring is looking for a Staff Accountant in our Itasca, IL location. The Staff Accountant is responsible for the day-to-day accounting practices, preparing, analyzing, and reviewing financial statements using accounting principles.What You Will Do:<ul><li>Prepare accounting journal entries in compliance with USGAAP.</li><li>Prepare daily bank reconciliations.</li><li>Perform journal entry data upload from Certify (expense reimbursement system) to SAP (ERP) and make sure expense report submissions are up to date.</li><li>Assist with month-end close activities.</li><li>Perform month-end allocations and amortizations.</li><li>Prepare commissions for third-party dealers.</li><li>Reconcile assets &amp; liabilities accounts on a monthly basis and resolve variances.</li><li>Maintain AR aging log and work as a team lead to resolving customer payment issues.</li><li>Maintain open manual customer invoices (down payment invoices).</li><li>Enter PO and non-PO payable invoices and make sure that all invoices for the month are booked by the first day of month-end close (This role will be re-organized).</li><li>Assist in the preparation of documents for external audit.</li><li>Research federal, state, and local legal regulations and comply with them. Advise management if taking action is needed.</li><li>Prepare data and analysis to support financial projections and forecasts.</li><li>Assist in special projects to improve process efficiency and performance.</li><li>Analyze current automation of the accounting and suggest improvement plans to Accounting Manager.</li><li>Work on other duties as assigned.</li></ul>Who We Are Looking For:<ul><li>Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel Accounting (pivot tables, vlookup, etc.) is a MUST.</li><li>Three to five years of accounting experience.</li><li>Four-year degree in accounting or equivalent.</li><li>CPA preferred.</li><li>Excellent writing skills, as well as the ability to communicate and collaborate effectively.</li><li>The ability to consistently meet tight deadlines.</li><li>Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and committed to quality.</li><li>SAP experience is plus</li></ul>Additional Information:<ul><li>All initial phone screenings and interviews are done via web conference.
