<div><div>Summary
Designs and delivers classroom, one-on-one and distance technical and soft skill training sessions to lawyers and support staff world-wide; with the possibility of domestic and international travel. Creates, edits and maintains software and system related documentation, training materials and all general IS announcements. Participates in other IS based projects as required.
Essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.<ul><li>Manages and supports technical training projects.</li><li> Liaises heavily within lawyers and staff, the IT department and the branch offices.</li><li> Works collaboratively with other departments and independently to develop and standardize course outlines and training materials for both instructor-led and online classes that can be used in the New York office and our other branch offices.</li><li> Helps search for, evaluate, test, socialize and train new software.</li><li> Maintains a technical training helpline &ndash; required to be the firm expert on use of firm standard software including, in particular, Microsoft Word and Excel.</li><li> Delivers outstanding classroom training, one-on-one and distance training sessions.</li><li> Can deliver an organized training program that may not include classroom training but introduces and trains using multi-media platforms.</li><li> Completes needs analysis and evaluates training sessions as they relate to training requirements.</li><li> Gathers, organizes, and edits information to include in documentation, memos and e-mails for software upgrades.</li><li> Formulates, develops and communicates new training initiatives.</li><li> Assists in maintaining online training registration and information database.</li><li> Assists in new-hire candidate technical assessment provision and scoring.</li><li> Designs, develops and maintains training documentation to include:</li><li>User guides (quick reference cards, quick tips, software manuals)</li><li>CBT (computer-based training)</li><li>Online help and web pages</li><li> Provides third level support to PC Support and other departments, technical and non-technical.</li><li> Significant travel to other S&amp;C offices is required in this position</li></ul>
In addition, responsibilities related to maintaining firm and client information are to be adhered to by all employees. This includes complying with the firm&rsquo;s information security policies, protecting firm assets from unauthorized access, disclosure, modification, destruction or interference, and reporting security events or potential events or other security risks to management.
Qualifications<ul><li> Minimum 5 years of Technical Training or 8 or more years corporate training experience.</li><li> Ability to design and implement training programs (Instructional Design experience)</li><li> At least five years of technical writing experience done for a legal, educational or business firm. We will request samples of your work.</li><li> Expert Level proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.)</li><li>Advanced proficiency in Camtasia or Captivate.</li><li>Proficiency in SharePoint or other website creation software.</li><li> Experience managing and facilitating projects and focus groups.</li><li> The candidate should have a proven track record for producing high quality documentation quickly and with minimal supervision.</li><li> Ability to work effectively with people at all levels within the IS and training departments, as well as lawyers and the entire organization.</li><li> The ability to quickly learn new software while managing specifically assigned tasks on short notice.</li><li> Is customer service focused.</li></ul>
Desired:<ul><li> Experience in designing and maintaining web pages.</li><li> Experience with NetDocs.</li><li> Proficiency in Legal Outline Numbering software.</li><li>Advanced proficiency in Acrobat Pro.</li><li> Experience developing and implementing CLE and/or CEU specific training.</li><li> Experience in designing and/or delivering soft skills training.</li></ul>
Education and/or Experience<ul><li>A bachelor&rsquo;s degree (or higher) and a minimum of five years training and technical experience and strong academic credentials required.</li></ul>

This a fast-paced, ready to train or facilitate department. You must be comfortable and flexible enough to work in an environment where you may be expected to change direction quickly. Although the title of this position is a Technical Trainer, many times you will be responsible for project management, software life-cycle testing as well as the training role.
Compensation
The base salary range offered for this role will be between $125,000 and $145,000. When determining a candidate&rsquo;s compensation offer, elements unique to each person are taken into consideration including but not limited to skill set, experience level, performance, professional certifications, degrees and location, as well as the needs of the Firm. The total compensation package for this position may include overtime pay, discretionary bonuses and other benefits.
