</b><br>
Demonstrates expertise in social work, working as a member of an inter-disciplinary team comprised of a physician, nurse and social worker. Occasionally plans educational offerings and ensures continuing education requirements are met. Applies specialized knowledge of human development and behavior and social, economic, and cultural systems in directly assisting older adults and families to improve or restore their capacity for social functioning including counseling and use of psychosocial interventions and social psychotherapy. Performs social psychotherapy without supervision and may provide supervision to LSW engaged in social psychotherapy.

a. Master&rsquo;s Degree in Social Work

b. Current Ohio LISW License

</b></div><div>Provides preoperative assessment and support in collaboration with the health care team members. Serves as first assist to the surgeon during cardiovascular and thoracic surgical procedures under direct supervision of the attending surgeon. Works in collaboration with the surgeons and health care team members to facilitate optimal outcomes for patients undergoing cardiac and thoracic surgery. Promotes efficiency, continuity of care and postoperative support. Communicates with other team members to ensure critical information is relayed throughout the perioperative period.

<b>Formal Education Required RNFA:
</b><br>
a. Bachelor&rsquo;s of Science in Nursing (BSN)
<br>
<ul><li>Applicants with an Associate&rsquo;s degree will be considered but are required to obtain BSN within three (3) years of employment
</li></ul>b. Graduate of a program of professional nursing that is accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE) or Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN)

c. Current license to practice registered nursing in the State of Ohio

d. Completion of an accredited course in RN First Assisting
<br>
e. CNOR certified, willing to pursue certification and maintains certification

f. CPR certified and maintains certification
