Summit School Services is currently seeking a Benefits Manager to assist with the delivery and implementation of the Company&rsquo;s health and welfare benefits plans in both the United States and Canada. To support, manage and report the HR data and ensure plans are consistently administered and in compliance with company and government regulations. This position reports directly to Director of Compensation &amp; Benefits and is a remote role.<ul><li>
Assists with the development, evaluation, planning, and administration of all health and welfare benefit plans and programs.</li><li>
Develops and updates benefit communication materials to ensure employees obtain accurate information to make informed benefit decisions (i.e., benefits newsletters, intranet, benefit portal, etc.).</li><li>
Maintains an accurate up-to-date database of current benefit programs for all company locations; maintains a working knowledge of company union contracts and follows negotiated benefit provisions to ensure benefit programs are administered and documented accurately.</li><li>
Implements and coordinates all benefit acquisition work including new locations and closures due diligence, project planning, benefit recommendation, financial impact and integration.</li><li>
Establishes and maintains strong working relationships with internal partners (Labor, Field HR and Operations, Finance, Payroll) and external partners (benefit consultants, brokers, insurance providers, and benefit plan administrators).</li><li>
Assists with ensuring all benefit plan compliance requirements are met including testing, auditing, Form 5500 filings, required notices, and 1095-C reporting requirements.</li><li>
Provides a variety of technical information from which employees and members may make responsible decisions concerning their benefits and retirement plans.</li><li>
Researches data systems such as HRIS, payroll and benefits portals and collaborates with internal and external partners to correct errors and systemic issues.</li><li>
Assist with annual open enrollment development, communications, rollout, &amp; closeout.</li><li>
Executes fiduciary responsibilities as 401k Administrator related to funding, audits, compliance, corrections, etc.</li><li>
Serves as back up for leave administration, short-term &amp; long-term disabilities, and direct billing.</li><li>
Drives process improvement initiatives to streamline operations and enhance service delivery.</li></ul> 
The salary range is $100,000 - $118,000 annually. 
Qualifications 
REQUIREMENTS:<ul><li>
Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in Human Resources, Business, Business Information Systems; SHRM professional designation preferred. Advanced degree a plus</li><li>
5-10years&rsquo; experience with complicated benefit solutions within large (20,000 + employees) corporate environment</li><li>
Experience with Oracle Fusion required</li><li>
Significant experience integrating benefits administration into a broader HR ecosystem / HRIS platform, including functional setup, transactional processes, and reporting tools</li><li>
Sound knowledge of principles and practices of benefit program administration and proven expertise in managing the administration of a wide range of benefits policies, programs, plans and related processes in a large company with many locations</li><li>
Ability to manage multiple critical, time-sensitive projects simultaneously and to meet deadlines</li><li>
Significant experience working with PowerPoint, Teams, SharePoint and Excel is required (v-look ups &amp; pivot tables a must)</li><li>
Excellent knowledge and expertise in interpreting and applying the provisions of a diversity of employee benefits programs including medical, dental, vision, long-term disability, ADD, short-term disability, COBRA, Flexible Spending Accounts, life insurance plans, Section 125 plan, 401(k) plans and Canadian RRSP plans.</li><li>
Demonstrated aptitude for statistical analysis, spreadsheet manipulation and database management</li><li>
Well-developed analytical and problem-solving skills to conduct due diligence for proposed acquisitions and develop options/recommendations for management consideration and to resolve a variety of complex problems.</li><li>
Ability to maintain the highest degree of confidentiality in all matters related to benefits</li><li>
Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential</li></ul>

Responsibilities:</div><ul><li>
Provides overall CSC operational leadership by directing student transportation services, driver training and vehicle maintenance programs to support the operating plan and overall business goals.</li><li>
Provides staff leadership by promoting and ensuring safe, efficient and effective operations</li><li>
Monitors staff training requirements and ensure all employees obtain the required skills and abilities to perform their job assignments.</li><li>
Sets performance expectations, coaches and counsels all direct reports in an effort to meet operational expectations; administers employee discipline as necessary.</li><li>
Ensure overall compliance with Company policies and/or processes. Escalate violations of policy and procedures with General Manager and/or Corporate personnel.</li><li>
Oversees compliance with state and district regulations</li><li>
Attends meetings with School District Representatives and represents company in professional manner</li><li>
Prepares and submits required customer-related reports in a timely manner.</li><li>
Documents and manages customer or employee complaints and review customer survey data</li><li>
Responsible for knowledge of CSC contracts and accompanying operational requirements.</li><li>
Collects and audits employees' time sheets.</li><li>
Manages direct and indirect hours to ensure budget requirements are met and collects and audits employees' time sheets as needed.</li><li>
Examines and reviews the daily exception report.</li><li>
Approves all expenditures in accord with company guidelines.</li><li>
Ensures the effective utilization of vehicles.</li><li>
Exhibits the highest ethical best practices and personal integrity; Shares concerns about suspicious or inappropriate behavior with their supervisor or manager</li><li>

Qualifications<div>

High School diploma or equivalent. Some college preferred.</li><li>
5+ years&rsquo; work experience required, with 3 years in ground transportation industry preferred; this can be waived with a minimum of 1-year supervisory experience. College education can be substituted for up to 2 years required work experience.</li><li>
Supervisory experience preferred; specifically experience supervising/training a driver workforce</li><li>
Strong working knowledge of MS Office Software (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.) and transportation related software</li><li>
Strong leadership skills and interpersonal skills</li><li>
Strong organizational and group presentation skills</li><li>
Well-developed multi-tasking and time management skills</li><li>
Possess a valid Commercial Driver&rsquo;s License with appropriate endorsements</li><li>
