 As the ELD Specialist, you will play a critical role in supporting English Language Learners (ELLs) by strengthening instructional practices, improving student outcomes, and building staff capacity across campuses. Not only are you a highly qualified, motivated self-starter; you work well with others, seek solutions to challenges, and serve as an instructional leader.
 
 
 
 As The ELD Specialist, You Will
 
 
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 Provide academic instruction aligned to Arizona State Standards
 </li>
 <li>
 Ensures measurable improvement in and availability of instructional practices, research, and assessment systems that contribute to the instructional achievement for English Language Learners (ELLs).
 </li>
 <li>
 The successful candidate will also collaborate with SVA leadership to develop an understanding of effective ELL programming, English Language Development instructional practices, and effective content area scaffolding techniques.
 </li>
 <li>
 Adjust curriculum resources and tools that assist content teachers in supporting student mastery of content-specific standards and English Language Proficiency (ELP) standards.
 </li>
 <li>
 Collaborate with team members to increase knowledge of effective ELL practices in all content area instruction and intervention by meeting in small groups, one-on-one consultation, and professional development sessions.
 </li>
 <li>
 Develop and facilitate ongoing, differentiated professional development for ELD practitioners, general education teachers, administrators, and special service providers regarding best practices in English language development, scaffolded instruction, SVA initiatives, and assessments.
 </li>
 <li>
 Collaborate with the SPED team to ensure equitable programming and continued academic progress for ELLs with specialized learning needs.
 </li>
 <li>
 Provide targeted and integrated ELD lessons in and small group settings.
 </li>
 <li>
 Support schools with identification, placement, and annual progress monitoring of ELL language development.
 </li>
 <li>
 Assist in data collection and analysis to monitor ELD programming and student academic success during and after receiving ELD services.
 </li>
 <li>
 Respond to teacher, school, parent, and community needs including informal requests regarding policies, procedures, and programming for ELL students.
 </li>
 <li>
 Conduct program reviews, inform administrators and teachers about changes, best first instruction in the delivery, pacing, and implementation of ELL resources and services.
 </li>

 Minimum Qualifications

 Bachelor's Degree in Education, Elementary Education, Secondary Education or a related field.

 Valid Arizona IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card
 </li>

 Valid CPR and First Aid Certification (Must be tested and obtained from in-person course)
 </li>
 <li>
 Arizona Teaching Certification; passing score for the Arizona Educator Proficiency Assessments (AEPA) in related content; reciprocal Out-of-State Certification or National Board Certification in related content area required
 </li>
 <li>
 Arizona Structured English Immersion or Bilingual Language Endorsement
 </li>
 <li>
 Five (5) years' experience teaching, with a demonstrated record of successfully impacting student achievement and working successfully with students who have the greatest needs is desired

Sun Valley Education is seeking a dynamic, student- and family-centered leader to oversee our Kids Care and Preschool programs. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth daily operations of the programs, supporting staff, and maintaining high-quality experiences for children and families.
As the Assistant Director of Kids Care/Preschool, you will manage program operations, staff, and family engagement while collaborating closely with site leadership to ensure regulatory compliance and operational efficiency.
Responsibilities may include:<ul><li>
Supervise and support staff, including hiring, training, development, and performance evaluations.</li><li>
Ensure compliance with Arizona Department of Health Services and Arizona Department of Economic Security regulations.</li><li>
Develop and implement policies and procedures to improve program effectiveness, efficiency, and child safety.</li><li>
Collaborate with site leadership to align program operations with organizational and school goals.</li><li>
Manage billing processes and maintain accurate financial and program records.</li><li>
Respond to parent and family inquiries, concerns, and feedback promptly and professionally.</li><li>
Plan, organize, and oversee special events on campus, coordinating with custodial and support staff to ensure necessary supplies and materials are ready.</li><li>
Maintain program equipment, supplies, and classroom materials to ensure safety and readiness for daily activities.</li><li>
Perform additional duties as assigned to support program success and continuity.</li></ul>

High school diploma or GED with 60 hours Early Childhood Education (ECE) trainings plus an additional 12 hours in program administration, planning, development, or management, and 24 months of experience OR Associate's degree in ECE or a closely related field with at least 6 months of experience.</li><li>
Knowledge of regulatory requirements for program operation.</li><li>
Ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders, including staff, parents, families, and community partners.</li><li>
Strong written and verbal communication skills.</li><li>
Must maintain CPR and First Aid Certification (Must be taken and completed in-person)</li><li>
Valid Food Handler's card requirements.</li></ul>
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:<ul><li>
Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field.</li><li>
Minimum of three (3) years of experience in a leadership or management role within a Kids Care or Preschool program.</li><li>
Experience in a charter school or educational setting.</li><li>
Experience with budget management and financial analysis.</li></ul>
