<div><p>We are looking for an experienced <b>Welder</b> to join our production team. This position is responsible for the fabrication and welding of various components used in the manufacturing and repair of transformers. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with metal fabrication, welding techniques, and can interpret engineering drawings to ensure high-quality and precise builds. The hours for this position are <b>Monday - Thursday 6:00 AM to 4:30 PM.</b></p><br>
<p></p>
<ul><li>
Weld and assemble transformer components including:
<ul><li>Transformer tanks (oil-filled or dry-type)</li><li>
Radiator fins and brackets</li><li>
Lifting lugs, base channels, conservators, and other structural parts</li></ul>
</li><li>Use MIG, TIG, and/or Stick welding techniques based on material and project requirements.</li><li>
Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and welding specifications.</li><li>
Ensure proper fit-up and alignment of welded parts using jigs, clamps, and measuring tools.</li><li>
Perform grinding, cutting, and surface preparation prior to and after welding.</li><li>
Conduct pre-weld and post-weld inspections to ensure compliance with quality standards.</li><li>
Repair cracks, leaks, or damage on transformer tanks or components as required.</li><li>
Operate hand tools, overhead cranes, forklifts, and other shop equipment safely.</li><li>
Maintain welding equipment and tools provided by the organization
</li><li>Communicate with engineering, quality, and production teams regarding design changes or fabrication issues.</li><li>
Ability to mentor novice welders in the area of welding and fabrication
</li><li>Support continuous improvement efforts in welding and fabrication processes.</li><li>
Following all safety protocols which includes wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE), glove, safety glasses, etc.
</li><li>Maintain safe, clean, and orderly workstation.</li><li>
 Other assigned duties as needed.</li></ul><ul><li>
High school diploma or equivalent; welding trade school or technical training preferred.</li><li>
3-5 years of welding experience required</li><li>
Air arc gouging, plasma cutting, and stud gun experience required</li><li>
Proven experience in welding oil or liquid filled tanks required</li><li>
Complete and pass pre-employment and annual respiratory fit testing in compliance with OSHA standards</li><li>
Proficient in welding processes (MIG, TIG, Stick) on mild and stainless steel.
</li><li>Ability to read and interpret work orders, engineering drawings and welding symbols.</li><li>
Knowledge of ASME or AWS welding codes is a plus.</li><li>
AWS Certified Welder (or equivalent) preferred</li><li>
 A proven track record in safety excellence is required.</li><li>
Adheres to all safety and environmental compliance regulations set by the organization. Notify management immediately of any safety concerns, hazardous conditions, or injuries.
</li><li>Meet department and production goals set by supervisor.</li><li>
Ensure product quality meets company and client expectations.
</li><li>Possess a strong work ethic, excellent communication skills, problem-solving abilities, cooperative attitude, strong attention to detail and can work in a team environment.
</li><li>Adheres to the company&rsquo;s employee handbook policies and embodies the organization&rsquo;s core values.
</li><li>Ability to learn other department job functions and fill in as needed.</li><li>
Complete company compliance and safety training when required.
</li><li>Ability to work a flexible schedule and work under pressure in a fast-paced work environment.</li><li>
Physical requirements for this role include, but are not limited to the following:
<ul><li>Lift 50lbs floor to waist and waist to shoulder multiple times
</li><li>Standing and walking for long durations
</li><li>Bending, squatting, and kneeling multiple times for long durations
</li><li>The ability to climb up and down a ladder multiple times
</li><li>Balance and stand on a ladder with three points of contact for extended periods of time</li><li>
Comfortable working in the heat and cold due to manufacturing facilities not being climate controlled</li></ul></li></ul><br>
