As a member of RFL&rsquo;s laboratory team, the lab technician is responsible for the day to day performance of assigned laboratory and distribution operations, processes and procedures.Required ElementsEducation/Experience:&middot; Bachelor of Science in Biology or related field<ul><li>Surgical tech experience</li><li>MA experience</li><li>OR experience</li><li>ER tech</li><li>Phlebotomy</li></ul>&middot; Valid driver&rsquo;s license and insuranceEssential Job Functions:Must be able to work 7:30am-4pm&middot; Responsible for reading and understanding everything in the employee handbook.&middot; Performs assigned laboratory and distribution systems, processes, and procedures.&middot; Participates in RFL&rsquo;s quality management system and regulatory adherence.&middot; Performs procurement, packaging, labeling, distribution of tissue, supply, and cleaning activities as assigned.&middot; Maintains facilities and supplies according to the needs of the laboratory and distribution departments.&middot; Participates in training activities as directed.&middot; Performs intra and interstate driving as directed.&middot; Maintain a valid driver&rsquo;s license and clean driving record.&middot; Prepares technical reports to include statistical analysis as needed.&middot; Understanding and proficiency in applicable federal, state and local laws and accreditation standards.&middot; Must be willing to be trained on RFLs SOPM&rsquo;s and demonstrate knowledge of the training.&middot; Perform and work in a team environment&middot; Must be able to perform daily tasks utilizing RFL&rsquo;s database and computer systems such as general knowledge of Microsoft software&middot; Safety sensitive position with access to personal and health information of donors and must maintain confidentiality.<ul><li>Including but not limited to the following tasks:</li></ul>&middot; Performing physical assessments of whole body cadavers, blood draws, and following a procurement plan for removal of various body tissues.&middot; Disinfecting/Cleaning of the lab areas.&middot; Preparing lab for education and surgical training&middot; Preparing shipments of specimens.&middot; Some travel required for out of office labs up to 5 percent of the time.Personal Elements:&middot; Must perform well under stress.&middot; Ability to lift 75 LBs using proper/safe lifting techniques.&middot; Must comprehend and be familiar with regulating agencies and their requirements.&middot; Must possess character attributes that contribute to the growth and success of the company.&middot; Must be willing to travel up to 5%&middot; Must be aligned with RFL&rsquo;s mission and high level of commitment to donor&rsquo;s and donor families.Job Type: Full-timePay: From $23.00 per hourExpected hours: 40 per weekBenefits:<ul><li>401(k)</li><li>401(k) matching</li><li>Dental insurance</li><li>Health insurance</li><li>Life insurance</li><li>Paid time off</li><li>Vision insurance</li></ul>Education:<ul><li>Bachelor's (Preferred)</li></ul>Work Location: In person
