We are seeking an experienced individual to join our design team as a Landscape Architect/Landscape Designer. This person must be able to create and sell bespoke landscape designs for residential and commercial properties in the Northern Virginia area. Job Description:
</b><br>
We are seeking a dynamic and skilled Landscape Architect/Landscape Designer to join our vibrant sales department at Sunrise Landscape + Design. You will play a pivotal role in the entire spectrum of landscape design, contributing your expertise from inception to completion.<br>
</div><div><b>
Key Responsibilities:</b><br>
<b>Design:</b></div><ul><li>
Perform site analysis that includes gathering information on existing conditions, topography, soil, utilities, sun exposure, drainage, etc.</li><li>
Design custom landscape concepts that may include outdoor living areas, planted areas, hardscapes, water features, and covered structures.</li><li>
Prepare detailed construction drawings and specifications that adhere to local code and regulatory requirements.</li></ul><div><b>
Estimating &amp; Quality Control:</b></div><ul><li>
Prepare take-offs and cost estimates for designs.</li><li>
Collaborate internally with production team to ensure the design is functional and executable.</li><li>
Effectively communicate estimates, design intent, and plans to the production staff to facilitate installation.</li><li>
Perform site visits throughout production to ensure design intent is being met and plans have been followed.</li></ul><div><b>
Sales:</b></div><ul><li>
Guide clients from initial contact through the design and construction phases to project completion.</li><li>
Meet with incoming leads to develop rapport and understand the client&rsquo;s needs and expectations.</li><li>
Suggest various material options to meet the customer&rsquo;s budget while maintaining the functional and aesthetic elements of the design.</li><li>
Manage client relationships and communicate effectively to understand project needs and expectations.</li></ul><div></div><div><b><br>
Qualifications:</b></div><ul><li>
Degree in landscape architecture or design preferred.</li><li>
3+ years of experience in landscape architecture or design.</li><li>
Proficiency in design software (Vectorworks, AutoCAD, SketchUp, etc.).</li><li>
Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present and explain design concepts clearly.</li><li>
Understanding of various landscaping and construction methods.</li><li>
Understanding of state and local code requirements.</li><li>
Understanding of local plant palette per hardiness zones.</li><li>
Strong interpersonal and sales skills.</li><li>
Valid driver&rsquo;s license.</li></ul><div></div><div><b><br>
