Part - Time Groundskeeper – Maderas Golf Club

Job Summary: 
The Groundskeepers perform a diverse range of activities involved in golf course maintenance and construction. They also perform semi-skilled ground construction, maintenance work, and caping tasks using power equipment and hand tools.
 
Essential Functions: 
<ul>
<li>Performs general landscape maintenance using handheld equipment.</li>
<li>Rakes and maintains sand bunkers.</li>
<li>Operates small machinery to assist with edging, trimming and mowing.</li>
<li>Prepares soil beds for sod, seed and vegetative material.</li>
<li>Involved with tasks related to course detail (weed and debris clean up).</li>
<li>Assists with golf course set-up procedures.</li>
<li>Operates utility vehicles for hauling material and removing debris.</li>
<li>Performs skilled duties related to experience (pruning, plugging, etc.).</li>
<li>Operates equipment safely and is aware of associates and their prospective work areas.</li>
<li>Incorporates safe work practices in job performance.</li>
<li>Drive and maneuver golf carts safely.</li>
<li>Maintain satisfactory attendance.</li>
<li>Performs other related duties as assigned.</li>
</ul>

</ul>
Qualifications:Minimum Qualifications: 
<ul>
<li>Previous experience in groundskeeping or landscaping, particularly in a golf course or park setting.</li>
<li>Must possess the ability to read, write, and understand English at a level necessary to safely and effectively perform the essential functions of the job, including following oral and written instructions, reading safety information, and completing required documentation.</li>
<li>Ability to lift up to 50 pounds at a time.</li>
<li>Ability to perform all essential functions of the job description.</li>
</ul>
Preferred Qualifications
 <ul>
<li>Ability to operate various types of power equipment including lawnmowers, trimmers, hedge trimmers, leaf blowers, and other landscaping equipment.</li>
<li>Ability to use hand tools required for landscaping.</li>
<li>Ability to follow instructions and complete assignments.</li>
<li>Extensive knowledge of landscaping techniques and processes.</li>
<li>Excellent time management skills.</li>
<li>Previous experience preferred.</li>
<li>On-the-job training offered.</li>
</ul>
Physical Demands: 
<ul>
<li>Frequently stands, walks, sits; uses hands; frequently reaches with hands and arms; frequently talks and hears.</li>
<li>Occasionally climbs or balances; occasionally stoops, kneels, crouches, squats or crawls; occasionally lifts up to 50 pounds.</li>
<li>Must be able to traverse various athletic grounds and facilities.</li>
</ul>
Environment/Noise: 
<ul>
<li>Must be able to work safely in a noisy area with many odors present.</li>
<li>Frequently works in outdoor weather conditions.</li>
<li>Noise level is loud.</li>
</ul>
