Role Summary:
We are looking for a highly experienced and hands-on Project Manager (Wind) to lead end-to-end execution of utility-scale wind power projects across India. This is a strategic role based out of Mumbai HO, with frequent travel to project sites during critical phases. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in managing multi-megawatt wind projects from concept to commissioning, including land acquisition coordination, EPC management, and site execution.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Planning &amp; Execution
<ul><li>Lead the complete lifecycle of wind project execution &ndash; from DPR, engineering coordination, procurement follow-ups, and site mobilization to COD.</li>
<li>Develop detailed project execution plans and drive adherence to cost, time, and quality targets.</li>
<li>Coordinate with cross-functional teams including land, engineering, procurement, logistics, and construction for smooth implementation.</li>
<li>Track project milestones, proactively identify risks, and implement mitigation measures.</li>
</ul>Site Coordination &amp; Monitoring
<ul><li>Frequently travel to project locations to monitor construction progress, contractor performance, and quality.</li>
<li>Address on-ground challenges such as terrain issues, access roads, equipment movement, and local clearances.</li>
<li>Ensure adherence to EHS (Environment, Health &amp; Safety) standards during execution.</li>
</ul>Stakeholder &amp; Vendor Management
<ul><li>Interface with turbine suppliers, EPC contractors, civil and electrical vendors for timely delivery and installation.</li>
<li>Ensure project deliverables from vendors and contractors are as per contract and technical specifications.</li>
<li>Resolve site-level conflicts and escalate bottlenecks in a structured manner.</li>
</ul>MIS &amp; Reporting
<ul><li>Track and report project KPIs including schedule, cost, manpower, and equipment utilization.</li>
<li>Prepare regular updates and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.</li>
<li>Support audit, compliance, and documentation as required.</li>
</ul>Preferred Candidate Profile:
<ul><li>Education: B Tech Fulltime Degree in Engineering (Electrical/Mechanical/Civil).</li>
<li>Experience: 14 - 18 years in project execution, with minimum 10+ years in Wind energy.</li>
<li>Strong track record of delivering wind projects (100+ MW) across multiple Indian states.</li>
<li>Proven leadership in managing multi-site teams, vendors, and cross-functional coordination.</li>
<li>Willing to travel extensively and spend time at sites as per project needs.</li>
<li>Knowledge of land acquisition processes and government approvals is a plus.</li>
