 Job Description
 
 
 
 SUNY Schenectady invites applications for a full-time Psychology Instructor to join a collaborative, student-centered academic community. We seek an educator who is passionate about teaching, committed to student success, and excited to work with students in a community college setting.
 
 
 The successful candidate will teach a 15-credit course load per semester and contribute to a department that values innovative pedagogy, professional growth, and effective teaching practices.
 
 
 
 Responsibilities
 
 
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 Teach undergraduate psychology courses in a variety of formats, including in-person and online
 </li>
 <li>
 Foster an engaging, supportive learning environment that promotes student success
 </li>
 <li>
 Hold regular office hours and provide academic guidance to students
 </li>
 <li>
 Participate in departmental and college service, including assessment and committee work
 </li>
 <li>
 Engage in ongoing professional development related to teaching and learning
 </li>
 <li>
 Contribute to a collegial and supportive academic community
 
 
 </li>
 </ul>
 
 Requirements
 
 
 
 Minimum Qualifications:
 
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 Master's degree in Psychology from an accredited institution
 </li>
 <li>
 Teaching experience in higher education or a closely related instructional or training setting
 </li>
 <li>
 Strong communication and interpersonal skills
 
 
 </li>
 </ul>
 
 Preferred Qualifications
 
 
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 Experience with online or technology-enhanced instruction
 </li>
 <li>
 Teaching experience in a community college setting
 </li>
 <li>
 Doctoral degree in Psychology or a related field
 
 
 </li>
 </ul>
