<p>
Performs as Processor and Specimen Receipt. Duties include but not limited to: receiving and processing patient specimens following established protocol: answering phone calls, calling results and panic values; using laboratory information system to enter test requests, retrieve data, print worksheets, etc: Must be able to complete multiple tasks in a timely and accurate manner and maintain patient confidentiality.</p>

Student in Medical Technology or related discipline. Must be a matriculated undergraduate or graduate student.</p>

<p><b>
SUNY Upstate Medical University</b> is seeking highly skilled and motivated <b>Advanced Practice Providers</b> to serve in a full-time role to primarily provide care to patients in the <b>Movement Disorder Clinic</b> providing <b>Ambulatory</b> coverage in the <b>Outpatient Neurology</b> setting.</p>
<p>
Position is based in a <b>Level I Trauma Center</b> that provides <b>Critical Care</b> and services to patients across a 17+ County Region. Scheduling is determined based on operational needs. <b>Upstate operates 24 hours a day/Seven days a week</b>, providing continuous care to our region.</p>
<p><b>
Key Responsibilities:</b></p>
<ul>
<li>Providing expert level clinical care and coordination of care via a full range of services that will improve quality of patient care.</li>
<li>Assessing and evaluating patients, ordering appropriate laboratory testing and diagnostic studies, arranging for referrals, testing, consultation, and therapeutic services.</li>
<li>Maintaining outstanding relationships with families, referring physicians and all members of the health care team.</li>
</ul>
<p>As an <b>APP</b>, you will be an integral member of the multidisciplinary healthcare team, demonstrating professionalism, leadership, and a commitment to Upstate&rsquo;s mission, vision, and values, while adhering to all institutional policies and procedures.</p>
<h3 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>
Minimum Qualifications:</b></h3>
<ul><li>Master's Degree as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant (or graduated from an accredited PA program) or will be eligible by time of appointment.</li>
<li>NYS Licensed/Registered NP or PA.</li>
<li>Current National Certification consistent to the clinical practice.</li>
<li>Have a NPI number and be Medicare enrolled with a Medicare Identification Number (or PTAN) (or eligible for Medicare Enrollment within 6 months of hire.</li>
<li>Must successfully pass pre-employment and credentialing clearances.</li>
</ul><h3 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>Preferred Qualifications:</b></h3>
<p>
Neurology experience preferred.</p>
<p>
Ambulatory APP experience preferred.</p>

Work Days:</b></h3>
<p>
Monday &ndash; Friday, Days with Holiday rotation. Scheduling based on operational needs.</p>
