<div>Supportive Concepts for Families, Inc, an Affiliate of Apis Services, is immediately looking for a FULL-TIME dedicated and hard-working Health Services Administrative Assistant to join our medical services team in our Lewistown area. Supportive Concepts for Families, Inc. is dedicated to supporting individuals with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities to live a meaningful day defined in the most independent and fulfilling manner possible. The Health Services Administrative Assistant will gather and organize documentation for our individuals medical care and they will assist the Health Services Department within Supportive Concepts. 
Essential Elements of the Position:<ul><li>
Communicates regularly with nurses and program leadership for planning and reporting</li><li>
Refers incoming calls relative to; complex medical conditions and high-risk individuals to nurses and program leadership of region</li><li>
Participates in required Nursing meetings</li><li>
Participates in interagency and team meetings as needed</li><li>
Assists with coordination of health care scheduling to new and current consumers</li><li>
Perform tasks as assigned by VP of Health Services, Health Services Coordinator and additional tasks as required program leadership</li><li>
Specific tasks to be performed include, but are not limited to:</li><li>
Assigned tasks within the Health Services Department</li><li>
Filing of records as required</li><li>
Documentation as needed</li><li>
Follow standardized system to monitor consumer appointments and ensure they are completed for all individuals, to include the following:</li><li>
The outcome of each appointment</li><li>
Checks and balances to monitor the attendance of consumer appointments</li><li>
Review and add new information to Lifetime Medical Histories as needed</li><li>
Special projects as assigned by the Vice President of Health Services and/or Health Services Coordinator</li><li>
Work with Senior Quality Health Services Manager to assure coordination between program and nursing</li></ul>

Education &amp; Experience Requirements:<ul><li>
2-4 years of experience working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, co-occuring diagnosis of behavioral health and addiction disorders, homeless, community support services, group residential facilities, or similar patient populations</li><li>
HS Diploma is required, Medical Administrative Assistant diploma or similar is preferred.</li><li>
Valid Driver's License</li></ul>
Additional Requirements: The candidate must pass a Criminal Record History Clearance, &amp; FBI as well as possess a valid PA Driver's License. The candidate must pass a Physical &amp; Drug Screening &amp; possess the ability to attend and successfully complete all sponsored trainings.
