This is an entry-to-mid-level role ideal for individuals with foundational experience in testing and automation.What you shall be doing at Svaksha&hellip;As a QET-I, you will focus on execution, learning, and fundamental quality assurance practices, supporting the senior QET team.1. Testing and Execution<ul><li>Execute detailed manual test cases (functional, regression, smoke) for web and mobile applications under guidance.</li><li>Actively participate in exploratory testing to uncover defects and usability issues.</li><li>Assist in setting up and maintaining basic automation test scripts using tools like Cypress, Jest, or equivalent frameworks.</li><li>Perform basic cross-browser and responsive design testing.</li></ul>2. Quality and Documentation<ul><li>Accurately identify, log, and track software defects using bug-tracking systems (like Jira).</li><li>Contribute to the creation and maintenance of testing documentation, including test cases, test data, and basic test reports.</li><li>Understand and follow the Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC) and company quality standards.</li></ul>3. Collaboration and Learning<ul><li>Collaborate effectively with developers, designers, and product teams to understand requirements and report findings.</li><li>Actively seek feedback and knowledge from senior team members to grow technical testing skills.</li><li>Participate in team meetings and contribute ideas for quality improvement.</li></ul>What we are looking for&hellip;.Required Skills &amp; Experience (1&ndash;2 YoE)<ul><li>Experience: 1 to 2 years of hands-on experience in software testing, preferably with web applications.</li><li>Testing Fundamentals: Strong foundational knowledge of software testing principles and methodologies (Black Box, White Box).</li><li>Automation Exposure: Basic knowledge of automated testing concepts and familiarity with tools/frameworks such as Cypress, Jest, or equivalent testing stacks.</li><li>Bug Tracking: Hands-on experience with bug-tracking tools (e.g., Jira).</li><li>Documentation: Basic proficiency with documentation tools like Google Docs/Sheets or Excel.</li></ul>Good-to-Have Skills<ul><li>Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git).</li><li>Exposure to Agile/Scrum methodologies.</li><li>Basic understanding of CI/CD concepts.</li><li>Knowledge of an object-oriented programming language (e.g., JavaScript/TypeScript).</li></ul>Soft Skills<ul><li>Detail-Oriented: Exceptional attention to detail in executing tests and reporting bugs.</li><li>Communication: Clear written and verbal communication skills for effective bug reporting and team collaboration.</li><li>Adaptability: Eagerness to learn new tools and testing techniques quickly.</li><li>Problem-Solving: Proactive attitude towards finding and solving technical issues.</li></ul>Qualifications<ul><li>Education: A Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in Computer Science Engineering, or a related field.</li><li>Certifications: Any relevant testing certifications (e.g., ISTQB) are a plus.</li></ul>How to ApplyIf you think you're a good fit, we&rsquo;d love to hear from you!
