Job Summary:
SVS Vision Receptionists will be responsible for creating a positive first impression that the patient receives when they walk into our stores. Optical receptionists work as part of a team of eye care professionals including optometrists. The receptionists&rsquo; main priorities are to assist clients either over the phone or in person, while getting the opportunity to build relationships with patients. They are also responsible for ensuring a positive patient experience from start to finish. Receptionists need to have a basic understanding of the different types of optical aids available, and their duties usually include (but are not limited to): 
Duties/Responsibilities:<ul><li>
Greeting patients</li><li>
Gathering and updating patients&rsquo; insurance</li><li>
All computer functions (i.e., receipts, job entries)</li><li>
Day-to-day business completion (close out, weekly reporting)</li><li>
Maintaining patients&rsquo; medical records</li><li>
Insurance-rejections and patient notifications</li><li>
Scheduling appointments/managing appointment book</li><li>
Ensuring the smooth flow of the office</li><li>
Supporting opticians and managers</li><li>
Ability to participate in an active and busy environment</li></ul>
