<h2 class="jobSectionHeader">The Role: Senior Civil Engineer</h2>
You will lead civil engineering design for large-scale data center campuses. This role owns site design outcomes across planning, design, and early construction phases. You will guide external consultants, set design standards, and ensure work meets Switch performance requirements. Your decisions directly impact site feasibility, cost, and long-term operational performance.
<h2 class="jobSectionHeader">What You&rsquo;ll Do</h2>
<ul><li>Lead civil site design for data center campuses, including grading, drainage, and utility coordination</li><li>Review and direct work from civil, geotechnical, and utility consultants</li><li>Ensure designs meet local codes, AHJ requirements, and Switch standards</li><li>Develop and maintain campus-level civil design standards and processes</li><li>Support early site planning, including test fits, site layouts, and feasibility analysis</li><li>Contribute to RFP development and evaluate consultant proposals</li><li>Coordinate with internal teams across design, construction, and operations</li><li>Identify design risks and drive solutions through resolution</li><li>Review site models and studies such as drainage, acoustic, and airflow impacts</li><li>Travel up to 25% for site reviews and coordination meetings</li></ul>

<h2 class="jobSectionHeader">What You&rsquo;ll Bring</h2>
Required
<ul><li>Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in Civil Engineering or related field</li><li>7&ndash;10+ years of civil engineering experience in large-scale commercial or industrial projects</li><li>Experience leading site design scope across multiple project phases</li><li>Strong knowledge of grading, drainage, and utility systems</li><li>Experience managing external design consultants</li><li>Familiarity with permitting and coordination with AHJs and utilities</li><li>Proficiency with Civil 3D and standard design tools</li></ul>
Preferred
<ul><li>Experience with mission-critical or data center projects</li><li>Experience developing design standards or technical guidelines</li><li>Familiarity with hydraulic modeling, erosion control, and site optimization</li></ul>

<h2 class="jobSectionHeader">The Role: Data Center Principal Electrical Engineer</h2>
As a Data Center Principal Electrical Engineer within Availability Engineering, you will serve as the highest-level technical authority for electrical systems across Switch data center environments. This role exists to define engineering standards, reduce systemic risk, and improve the performance and reliability of mission-critical infrastructure.
You will lead complex engineering efforts, guide cross-functional teams, and translate operational insights into scalable, repeatable standards. Your work directly impacts uptime, capacity, efficiency, and long-term infrastructure performance across all regions.
<h2 class="jobSectionHeader">What You&rsquo;ll Do</h2>
<ul><li>Define engineering standards for availability, capacity, efficiency, and sustainability of electrical systems
</li><li>Develop performance benchmarks and reliability targets across data center infrastructure
</li><li>Lead system-level analysis including fault response, transient behavior, black-start capability, and expansion planning
</li><li>Identify systemic risks and define mitigation strategies with clear operational guardrails
</li><li>Review and approve feasibility studies and engineering analyses performed by regional teams
</li><li>Serve as subject matter expert for complex operational issues, incident response, and technical escalations
</li><li>Support design engineering by providing feedback on infrastructure performance and long-term reliability
</li><li>Lead trade studies and engineering decisions impacting system architecture and lifecycle performance
</li><li>Review and validate protection system designs, including MV/LV systems, relays, schematics, and commissioning plans
</li><li>Partner with operations teams to improve procedures, training, and system optimization
</li><li>Translate operational learnings into standards, playbooks, and repeatable engineering practices
</li><li>Mentor engineers and influence technical direction across regions
</li><li>Support multiple concurrent projects across geographic locations

</li><li>Deep expertise in electrical infrastructure including UPS, generators, switchgear, transformers, ATS/STS, and power distribution systems
</li><li>Strong ability to interpret P&amp;IDs, schematics, wiring diagrams, and MEP drawings
</li><li>Experience reviewing protection systems, relays, and commissioning/test procedures
</li><li>Strong analytical skills, including system modeling and data-driven decision-making
</li></ul>Preferred:
<ul><li>Professional Engineer (PE) license
</li><li>Experience working with EPCs, OEMs, and large-scale infrastructure providers
</li><li>Experience influencing engineering standards across multiple regions

As a Project Assistant, you will support construction projects by managing documentation, tracking records, and coordinating routine workflows. This role exists to ensure project information is accurate, organized, and accessible to support daily operations.
You will maintain document control processes, support communication across teams, and help keep construction activities aligned with established procedures. This is an on-site role supporting active construction environments.

<ul><li>Maintain document control records, including revisions, distributions, and transmittals.

</li><li>Prepare and distribute document transmittals and project correspondence.
