<div>Position: Software Engineer

Location: Remote (India)

We are looking for a self-motivated, Software Engineer to join our team and take our application into the cloud and beyond. A software engineer at Switchfly will develop and support multiple applications in the field of travel, loyalty, and activities. This position creates and develops solutions to add to our existing platform while integrating with various other software systems, databases, and other tools including Java, Spring, Tomcat, HTML/CSS, and many more. We are looking for someone with a curiosity for technologies and someone who is always exploring new ways of building software. 


Responsibilities/Duties:
<ul>
<li>Work with team members to build new functionality for the travel industry</li>
<li>Write and maintain sustainable and efficient Java code to be used in scalable architectures</li>
<li>Build prototypes quickly and turn those ideas into sustainable, scalable applications</li>
<li>Take ownership of the design and delivery and participate in all phases of the software development process</li>
<li>Partner with key stakeholders to enhance and support existing applications</li>
<li>Work in a lean/agile development environment with remote teams</li></ul> 


Skills and Qualifications:
<ul>
<li>Must have a passion for software and care about great software</li>
<li>Excellent debugging and optimization skills necessary</li></ul> 


Education and Experience:
<ul>
<li>5+ years of experience in developing scalable, event-driven applications in a highly distributed environment</li>
<li>3+ years of experience building cloud-native, scalable software using Java</li>
<li>Experience creating and integrating with XML/JSON APIs</li>
<li>Experience with Java, Java Spring, SpringMVC, Spring Boot, JQuery, restful services, and JavaScript, is a plus</li>
<li>In-depth experience with algorithms, data structure and performance optimization techniques</li></ul>

Software Engineer

<div>Position: Lead QA Engineer

Location: Remote (India)

Employment Type: Full-Time 
Job Summary:

The Lead QA Engineer is a higher-level role within the Quality Assurance team, responsible for driving the stability and efficiency of test automation frameworks and processes. This position requires advanced technical expertise, strategic problem-solving, and the ability to mentor team members. The Senior QA Lead Engineer will ensure the quality of Switchfly&rsquo;s products by refining frameworks, improving automation, and leading efforts to enhance quality across the software development lifecycle. 


Duties/Responsibilities:
<ul>
<li>Maintain and evolve Switchfly&rsquo;s automation frameworks to align with industry best practices, ensuring high reliability and usability.</li>
<li>Identify and eliminate duplicate implementations and overhead code, optimizing frameworks for performance and maintainability.</li>
<li>Develop solutions for automated testing across UI, mobile, and API platforms, including the design of Jenkins jobs for test execution.</li>
<li>Lead the Automation SWAT initiative, ensuring stability and meeting SWAT goals.
</li><li>Own and manage daily test automation reports, ensuring stable test environments and identifying areas for improvement.</li>
<li>Troubleshoot and resolve complex automation issues quickly and effectively.</li>
<li>Mentor and support QE team members, providing guidance on automation best practices and resolving technical roadblocks.</li>
<li>Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including QA engineers, developers, and business stakeholders, to drive quality across the organization.</li>
<li>Define and deliver trusted automation patterns and testing strategies to improve test reliability and relevance.</li>
<li>Support the broader team by sharing insights, training teams, and fostering knowledge-sharing.</li></ul> 


Required Skills/Abilities:
<ul><li>Expertise in designing and maintaining robust test automation frameworks.</li>
<li>Strong knowledge of UI, mobile, and API automation, including tools like Selenium and CI/CD pipelines.</li>
<li>Ability to mentor junior engineers and train teams on automation and quality practices.</li>
<li>Proven ability to lead automation initiatives and improve test stability and efficiency.</li>
<li>Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, with the ability to address complex automation challenges.</li>
<li>Strong communication skills for cross-functional collaboration and knowledge sharing.</li></ul> 


Education and Experience:
<ul>
<li>At least 5 years of experience in a QA Automation role.</li>
<li>Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).</li>
<li>Experience in Agile environments, including implementing CI/CD automation strategies.</li>
<li>Proficient in API testing and test framework development.</li></ul> 


Physical Requirements:
<ul><li>Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer</li></ul>
