About the Position:

We are looking for a manual QA Analyst with insurance industry experience to join our growing team. 
As a key member of our team, you will collaborate closely with product owners and project stakeholders to deliver impactful change to our policy management system. Your contributions will help us deliver exceptional solutions for our personal insurance business partners, internal users, agents, and valued clients.

This position is a 100% U.S. based remote opportunity that can be based in one of the following states AL, AZ, FL, GA, KY, MA, MO, NC, NJ, NY, OH, OR, PA, SC, TN, TX, UT, VA, WA, WI. 

Some travel for team meetings and training may be required. 

Key Responsibilities: (What you'll be asked to do)
<ul>
<li>Learn and understand our underlying technology to predict and prevent where things are likely to break.</li>
<li>Troubleshoot system problems (in test and production) to highlight the root cause of failures.</li>
<li>Execute efficient test plans and perform ad-hoc testing as needed.</li>
<li>Perform effective data validation and analysis using SQL.</li>
<li>Utilize spec docs to create targeted test plans that exhibit the intersection of business needs and likely tech failures.</li></ul> 


The Successful Candidate: (What we're looking for)
<ul>
<li>Previous experience as a QA Analyst in the insurance space (small to mid-sized homeowners or commercial insurance carrier is ideal).</li>
<li>Proven ability to write effective and detailed test cases and test plans from requirements, user stories, or technical specifications.</li>
<li>You understand complex insurance processes enough to know what we need before we even ask for it.</li>
<li>Strong understanding of insurance-related technical jargon/lingo well enough to communicate with the developers who are still playing D&amp;D in their parent&rsquo;s basement every Wednesday night.</li>
<li>Deadlines don&rsquo;t phase you; you&rsquo;ve already finished the project three days early and can start working on something else.</li>
<li>You are an analytical problem solver who thrives in a fast-paced, very collaborative environment.</li>
<li>Excellent written and verbal communication skills.</li>
<li>Oh, and you have to be a reasonably nice person. Life is too short: we want to work with people we like.</li></ul> 


 Some Requirements:
<ul>
<li>3+ years as a QA Analyst in the property and casualty insurance space. 
</li>
<li>Hands-on experience with modern test case management tools.</li>
<li>Familiarity with interpreting API documentation and testing.</li></ul> 


Education:
<ul>
<li>Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or IT is required.</li></ul> 


Computer Skills:
<ul>
<li>3+ years performing testing or other similar tech-related work.</li>
<li>2+ years SQL or similar scripting experience.</li>
<li>Coding and troubleshooting experience with our tech stack (.NET/C#/SQL Server).</li>
<li>Experience testing different data formats like JSON and XML.</li></ul> 


Other:
<ul>
<li>Reliable high-speed internet connectivity required.</li>
<li>Designated quiet work from home space.</li></ul> 


The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is: $80,000 - $90,000 per year + benefits. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations. This salary range is a good-faith estimate of what Swyfft may pay for this position at the time of posting. Actual compensation may vary based on skills, qualifications, and experience. The range reflects annual compensation (as applicable) and does not include bonuses or other incentives that the company may choose to pay at its sole discretion.
