What we need</div></div><div><div>
Symbotic is seeking a highly motivated Tier II Strategic Sourcing Manager within our Supply Chain organization. This role is focused on managing spend below our direct suppliers, with a category emphasis on industrial automation components such as PLCs, I/O modules, data and power cables, motors, VFDs, power transfer components, safety fencing, MDR technology, cameras, sensors, and scanners.<br>

The successful candidate will be responsible for aggregating usage across the organization to forecast demand, negotiate best pricing, identify and qualify alternative suppliers, and drive cost savings initiatives. A critical part of the role will be new product introduction (NPI)&mdash;partnering with engineering to select competitive, reliable sources early in the design cycle and securing pricing and supply agreements before launch.<br>

This is a strategic role, not a tactical buying role. The Manager will own supplier strategies, contracts, and relationships, ensuring results that align with company objectives.</div></div><div></div><div><div><br>

Our global sourcing, procurement and third-party supplier team develop innovative category management strategies in collaboration with the business. The team focuses on strategic third-party partner agreements and help support supplier relationship management, commercial and financial pricing models for overall supplier performance.</div></div><div></div><div><div><br>
What you&rsquo;ll do</div></div><div><ul><li><div>
Develop and execute sourcing strategies for Tier II spend categories, with a focus on industrial automation components.</div></li></ul></div><div><ul><li><div>
Manage contracts and long-term agreements for all Tier II suppliers.</div></li></ul></div><div><ul><li><div>
Aggregate usage data to develop accurate forecasts that inform supplier negotiations and commitments.</div></li></ul></div><div><ul><li><div>
Lead supplier negotiations to secure best-in-class pricing, terms, and continuity of supply.</div></li></ul></div><div><ul><li><div>
Support global manufacturing strategies, considering geopolitical risks and future expansion into new markets.</div></li></ul></div><div><ul><li><div>
Identify, evaluate, and onboard alternative suppliers to mitigate risk, reduce cost, and ensure quality and reliability.</div></li></ul></div><div><ul><li><div>
Collaborate with engineering during new product introduction (NPI) to select optimal sources and negotiate agreements prior to launch.</div></li></ul></div><div><ul><li><div>
Stay current on emerging technologies relevant to Symbotic&rsquo;s development strategy and promote adoption where beneficial.</div></li></ul></div><div><ul><li><div>
Partner with direct suppliers to ensure Tier II sourcing strategies align with overall supplier management.</div></li></ul></div><div><ul><li><div>
Conduct cost/benefit and risk analyses to support sourcing recommendations and continuous improvement.</div></li></ul></div><div><ul><li><div>
Monitor supplier performance across delivery, quality, cost, and risk; drive corrective actions as needed.</div></li></ul></div></div><div></div><div><div><div><br>
What you&rsquo;ll need</div></div><div><ul><li><div>
Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering, or related field preferred</div></li></ul></div><div><ul><li><div>
Minimum 8 years of experience in Strategic Sourcing, Procurement, or Supply Chain.</div></li></ul></div><div><ul><li><div>
Expert knowledge of industrial automation components and suppliers (PLCs, I/O, data/power cables, motors, VFDs, power transfer components, safety fencing, MDR technology, cameras, sensors, scanners).</div></li></ul></div><div><ul><li><div>
Advanced analytics skills, with expertise in Excel and other data analysis tools.</div></li></ul></div><div><ul><li><div>
Strong ability to interpret and analyze engineering BOMs and technical prints.</div></li></ul></div><div><ul><li><div>
Familiarity with Teamcenter a plus.</div></li></ul></div><div><ul><li><div>
Proven experience in supplier negotiation and management for multi-million-dollar spend.</div></li></ul></div><div><ul><li><div>
Demonstrated ability to build processes and workflows where none previously existed.</div></li></ul></div><div></div><div><div><br>
