EXPERIENCE: Minimum of 3 years first assist or if new candidate recently completed a surgical residency. LOCATION: Southern Westchester County, New York. JOB SUMMARY: 40hrs/wk. Excellent opportunity for experienced PA to work in a hospital-based surgical practice. Function under the supervision of supervising attending surgeon on each of the following services listed below. Staff PAs comprise the surgical house-staff and as part of the attending MD/PA team, PAs are involved in the total care of the surgical patient from admission to discharge.<ul><li>First Assistant in a variety of specialties: Bariatric, General, Head &amp; Neck, OBGYN, Orthopedic, Vascular, Plastics, Neurosurgery, and Thoracic.</li><li>DaVinci Robot experience a plus but not necessary as we will train.</li><li>Morning rounds.</li><li>Pre-op and Post-op surgical patients.</li><li>History and Physicals on routine and emergent admissions.</li><li>Perform surgical consultations.</li></ul>SKILLS/REQUIREMENTS:<ul><li>3 years of first assist surgical experience or a new candidate who recently completed a surgical residency.</li><li>Excellent suturing technique.</li><li>Comfortable working independently performing invasive procedures ie. central lines, arterial lines, chest tubes, dialysis catheters, incisions and drainage.</li><li>Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills.</li><li>Strong work ethic.</li></ul>Compensation: Includes On-Call Responsibility.Job Type: Full-timePay: $150,000.00 - $178,000.00 per yearBenefits:<ul><li>401(k)</li><li>Dental insurance</li><li>Flexible schedule</li><li>Flexible spending account</li><li>Health insurance</li><li>Life insurance</li><li>Paid time off</li><li>Retirement plan</li><li>Vision insurance</li></ul>Experience:<ul><li>OR first assist: 1 year (Required)</li></ul>License/Certification:<ul><li>Physician Assistant License (Required)</li></ul>Work Location: In person
